Our team is proud to introduce Ember, an elevated new dining experience in downtown Lexington, SC.

We transformed the former restaurant space at 101 West Main into a warm and refined destination. Every detail — from the moody palette with brass accents to quartz tabletops, tilework, specialty plush seating, and acoustic ceiling panels — were carefully curated to create a setting that feels both timeless and new.

From the vibrant bar to the intimate dining spaces, Ember blends classic elegance with modern comfort — a sophisticated new addition to the heart of Lexington.

It's hard to believe that we have another year in the books! Summer went fast, so fast that we didn't even acknowledge our own birthday. But, each one is important and we continue to always be grateful to celebrate another year. Happy 14th birthday (and three months) to 1x1 Design. Throwing out a few pics from the archives, for laughs!

Time is flying!! Earlier this summer, we were so excited to celebrate ONE whole year of Maddi being here with us! A few things we've learned so far...

Maddi’s favorite project this past year was being involved in the 101 West Main Street renovations. Turning a vacant space into a dreamy restaurant, Ember, in Lexington, SC. (A few pics of the *almost* completed space included here!)

Her favorite memory was her first site visit when she went out solo on it and (to no one’s surprise) crushed it!

She likes the office COLD....

When she’s not being amazing in the office, she loves to spend time with her family gardening and thrifting!

Somehow the summer came and went TOO quickly....we never got to welcome Kate back via social media...and now she's already back at school! So, on this first day of classes for University , we are sending HUGE high fives to her! Good luck this semester, Kate! And hurry back for Winter Break!
