Reinhardt Construction

Reinhardt Construction Building Trust with
Quality Work | Construction Manager and General Contrator On June 1, 1957, Bill Reinhardt opened the doors to Reinhardt Construction Co.

Reinhardt Construction Company has a long history of providing quality construction services in Mid Missouri, most of it for repeat customers. in Centralia, Missouri. Some of the early clients were A.B. Chance Co. in Centralia and A.P. Green in Mexico. As Reinhardt began to grow so did the size and complexity of the projects. Reinhardt quickly became known for being able to complete difficult proj

ects within demanding time frames while always maintaining exceptional quality. While Reinhardt was enjoying success as a commercial and industrial contractor, Bill Reinhardt and new partner Jerry Daugherty were looking to branch into a new niche: high-end residential construction. The niche perfectly fused Jerry’s people skills with the commercial quality Reinhardt Construction had become known for. The first such project was the private living quarters for then-University of Missouri President Peter McGraw. Completed in 1984, on time and in four months, at a cost of $500,000, that project solidified Reinhardt Construction as an elite builder of exclusive homes in the Central Missouri area. Many projects soon followed and continue today, including the home of Columbia businessman Stan Kroenke. Each project completed averages 12,000 square feet in area and carries a seven-figure price tag. In 1990, Bill Reinhardt decided it was time to retire and Jerry Daugherty took over as President of Reinhardt Construction. The company’s success continued to flourish as did the list of growing repeat commercial clients. Reinhardt has been very fortunate over the years to build some very well-known local landmarks like the $100 million Boone Hospital Patient Tower, numerous University of Missouri athletic facilities as well as the majority of facilities constructed at Columbia College for the last several decades. As Jerry Daugherty looks toward retirement, he has found the perfect partner to take over Reinhardt Construction and lead it into the future. In February 2021, P.J. Hoerr, Inc. acquired Reinhardt Construction and took over operational control. It is the desire of P.J. Hoerr to continue Reinhardt’s sterling reputation while strengthening and modernizing the company’s safety program, finances and technical abilities. Both companies complement each other very well with their shared views on quality work, customer service and integrity. With our affiliation now with P.J. Hoerr, our companies have a combined company experience of over 170 years. There are not too many companies in the Midwest that can say this. Reinhardt will continue to serve Mid Missouri with predominantly the same people from the same location while strategically adding management and estimating staff to increase the services offered. Reinhardt has a long history of producing high quality work in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service. This is why the majority of our work is for repeat customers. Because of our recent affiliation with P.J. There are not many firms that can say this.

What an amazing day! Over 200 community members joined us to celebrate the Eagle Bluffs Elementary School ribbon cutting! The Reinhardt/Wilson JV team was the Construction Manager at Risk for this exciting project and the entire Columbia Public Schools bond program.

⚛️ The new school features innovative learning spaces with cozy pods for five to six classrooms surrounding a vibrant collaborative area. Each of the six nature-themed pods—Field, Lake, Cave, City, Prairie, and Woodlands—brings to life the beautiful environmental features of the nearby Eagle Bluffs Conservation Area. Plus, there's a two-story innovation lab dedicated to science, engineering, and robotics programming.

🔆 Here's to bright futures and inspired learning! 🔆

We wanted to share a special moment from the jobsite last week. The CASA team, along with several of the children they support, put their own creative spin on a traditional beam signing by hosting a graffiti party!

Attendees used spray paint to decorate the storm shelter of their new facility for a one of a kind keep-sake. This was a meaningful and fun way to involve the kids and staff of CASA!
