Old solar panel mesh systems can fail over time, even when they still look okay from the ground.

This system was no longer providing proper protection and came apart easily during removal. Once mesh starts separating, birds can regain access underneath the panels and nesting activity often returns.

Yellow jackets are becoming more active across Colorado Springs as temperatures continue warming up this spring.

This nest was hidden inside a swing set area, which is one of the most common places we find activity because nests stay out of sight until populations grow larger.

Yellow jackets are starting to get active all across Colorado Springs right now and a lot of people do not realize how hidden these nests can be until the activity gets worse.

This nest was built up high on the property, but instead of needing a ladder or putting anyone at risk, we used an extended pole setup to safely remove it directly from the ground and handle the issue early.

New construction doesn’t always mean pest free

Yellow jacket nests are not always visible

In this case, a single yellow jacket was spotted, which led to locating a hidden nest inside a retaining wall

These types of nests are common and often go unnoticed until activity increases or the nest becomes aggressive
