Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001.
Twenty-five years have passed, but we will never forget the lives lost, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the courage shown by first responders, service members, and ordinary Americans who stepped forward in an unimaginable moment.
We remember the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and other first responders who ran toward danger to help others. We remember those who went to work, boarded a plane, or began what seemed like an ordinary Tuesday morning and never made it home.
We also remember what followed—the strength, compassion, and unity shown by people across our country. Neighbors helped neighbors. Strangers helped strangers. Communities came together.
On this 25th anniversary, we pause to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost and all those who continue to carry the impact of that day.
May we never forget their names, their stories, their families, and the sacrifices made on September 11, 2001.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
