As the temperatures begin to drop and another paving season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU!

We are incredibly grateful to all our loyal customers, new customers, homeowners, property managers, and contractors who trusted us with their asphalt projects throughout 2026.

As a third-generation, family-owned and operated business, your continued trust and support mean everything to our family. We are proud of the work we’ve accomplished this year and the relationships we’ve built along the way.

🚧 WINTER SEASON SERVICE UPDATE

Due to colder temperatures and seasonal weather conditions, all large asphalt paving and seal coating projects will be placed on hold until spring 2027.

However, WE ARE NOT COMPLETELY CLOSED!

We will continue offering weather-permitting services throughout the winter, including:

✅ Small asphalt repairs

✅ Asphalt patching

✅ Hot rubberized crack sealing

📞 WINTER OFFICE HOURS & ESTIMATES

Our office will be operating on a reduced winter schedule. We kindly ask that customers allow up to 48 hours for a response to new bid and estimate requests.

We will also continue accepting requests and scheduling larger paving and seal coating projects for the 2027 season!

SPRAYED OR HAND APPLIED? THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.

When it comes to seal coating, we believe the quality of the application matters just as much as the product being used.

At James Dawley Asphalt Paving Services, we hand apply our residential seal coat. Hand application gives us greater control over the material, allows us to work it carefully into the asphalt surface, and helps us maintain clean, controlled edges without unnecessary overspray.

And hand application doesn’t mean slow.

👉 We hand applied this entire driveway in LESS THAN TWO HOURS.

That comes from experience.

We are a third-generation, family-owned asphalt company, and I personally applied this driveway. I’m Jerry Dawley, and I’ve been around asphalt and seal coating for 40 years. When you’ve spent that many years doing the work yourself, you learn how to apply material efficiently without sacrificing attention to detail.

Anyone can buy equipment and spray material onto a driveway. Experience is knowing how to apply it properly.

Many asphalt companies don’t list the owner’s name anywhere on their website. You don’t know who owns the company, who will show up, or who is ultimately responsible for the work.

At James Dawley Asphalt Paving Services, we’re different.

Our family’s name is on the company, and our names are on our website. When you call our office, you’ll most likely speak directly with my mom, Peggy. When it’s time for an estimate, you’ll meet either me, Jerry Dawley, or my dad, James Dawley, in person.

No salespeople.
No subcontracted estimators.
No corporate call centers.

In the Colorado mountains, asphalt faces some of the harshest conditions imaginable: heavy snow, freeze-thaw cycles, intense UV exposure, and years of daily use. That’s why proper site preparation, quality materials, and experienced installation matter.
