🦺 Safety Starts with Training

At Nunn Construction, keeping our people safe means making sure our teams have the knowledge and skills to respond when it matters most.

Recently, Nunn hosted a First Aid / CPR / AED training class for our employees, providing hands-on instruction and valuable tools to help our teams stay safe and prepared for anything.

Training like this strengthens our safety culture and helps ensure our people are ready to look out for themselves and one another every day.

Shoutout to our safety manager, Donnie Burns, for helps us be prepared.

On Friday, we joined Cheraw School District, students, families, community members and elected officials to celebrate the groundbreaking of the district’s new K–12 project.

The $29 million project, supported by BEST funding, will include mass timber construction and create a new learning environment for Cheraw students.

The turnout says a lot about this community. It was great to see so many people come out to celebrate this milestone and what’s ahead.

We’re excited to get to work alongside NV5, RTA Architects, and the Colorado Department of Education to bring this project to life.

⚡ Safety starts with knowledge and preparation!

Our Nunn team recently had the opportunity to attend a High Voltage Safety Demonstration hosted by Mountain View Electric Association. The hands-on demonstration provided an important look at electrical hazards and reinforced the precautions our teams can take to stay safe when working around high-voltage equipment and power lines.

A special thank you to Mountain View Electric Association for sharing their expertise and helping keep our teams informed and safe!

And a shoutout to Short Stop Food Truck for keeping everyone fueled with some delicious breakfast burritos! 🌯

🍴 A renovated kitchen—and a sweet way to celebrate!

Nunn Construction recently completed the renovation of Hoehne School District’s kitchen, working alongside RTA Architects, Inc. and the Hoehne School District RE-3 team to get the new space ready for the school year.

Yesterday, our team returned to Hoehne for a ribbon cutting and the first official tasting from the renovated kitchen! Culinary students put the new space to work, preparing desserts for everyone in attendance.

A big thank you to Vinnie Mattivi, Stephen DeTombe and Reese Bucciarelli for their leadership throughout the project, and to Hoehne School District RE-3 and RTA Architects, Inc. for their partnership.

🤝 Building More Than Buildings

At Nunn Construction, serving our communities goes beyond the work we do on our jobsites. CSR Committee, Nunn team members have had the opportunity to step away from their day-to-day roles and spend time volunteering with organizations making a difference in the communities we call home.

Thank you to everyone who continues to give their time and talents to make our communities stronger! 💙

So grateful for impactful student-focused experiences like this!

This week, Innovate Pikes Peak hosted more than 150 students from nine rural and small districts for two days of exploring some of the options open to them as they enter the workforce.

The students toured Nunn Construction Inc.’s El Pomar Foundation construction site and the InnovaFlex Foundry semiconductor advanced manufacturing facility. They then enjoyed a panel discussion with leaders from Microchip Technology Inc., Adolfson & Peterson Construction, Careers in Construction Colorado, UCCS Real Estate & Property Management, Apartment Association of Southern Colorado, and Weidner Apartment Homes. For many students, this was their first time seeing these careers and industries up close.

While the question of “what comes after high school?” can be a daunting one, Innovate Pikes Peak is working to connect students and districts with the opportunities available in their own backyard in the industries that build our region.
