Ever heard your contractor talk about "slump" and wonder what that even means?

Concrete slump is just a fancy way of describing how workable the mix is.

Low slump = stiffer mix, great for driveways and flat surfaces.
Medium slump = a bit more flow, ideal for slabs and walls.
High slump = very workable, used for projects with tightly packed rebar like high-rise builds.

The right slump depends on your project, and getting it wrong can mean cracking or weak spots down the road.

FAQ: How much concrete do I need for my project?

A: Concrete is measured in cubic yards. Here's the simple math:
Length × Width × Depth (in feet), divided by 27

So a 10x10 slab at 4 inches thick needs about 1.25 cubic yards.
Every project is different though. Slab thickness, site conditions, and reinforcement needs all play a role.

Not sure where to start? Our team will help you calculate the exact volume and recommend the right mix for your job.
