Let’s shine the spotlight on Paul Garcia, a Project Manager at Vector Force Development in the Carolinas! Over the past 1.3 years, Paul has been a vital force behind the scenes, handling everything from scheduling and billing to clearing obstacles so our field crews can thrive. For Paul, the most rewarding part of the job is watching his teammates grow and seeing their hard work recognized by leadership, a testament to his own advice for newcomers to "put in the elbow grease and be a sponge for knowledge." When he isn't keeping major projects on track, this kid at heart loves spending quality time with his wife and kids, gaming, or adding to his anime figure collection.

Thank you Paul for all that you do!

We are incredibly proud to have served as the lead sponsor for Patrol Base Abbate first regional Return to Base (RTB) of the 2026 season in Charleston, SC.

At Vector, we believe that supporting PBA's mission is not only a privilege, but part of our duty as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business. By bringing the RTB experience to the Southeast, we helped 16 veterans gather at the Retreat at Church Creek to rediscover community and purpose without the barriers of long-distance travel.

Regional programs like this don't just provide a weekend of connection; they build lasting, local support networks that thrive long after the program ends. Strengthening our veteran community is at the core of what we do, and seeing it happen in our own backyard is a powerful reminder of why this mission matters.

Huge thanks to the Patrol Base Abbate team and the Retreat at Church Creek for an unforgettable event.

The strength of the U.S. Army Reserve lies in the unique ability of its Soldiers to excel in two worlds at once. Today, we honor the men and women who balance civilian careers and family lives with a profound commitment to national defense. It isn’t just about the uniform; it’s about the discipline and leadership they bring back to our communities every single day. Happy 118th Birthday to those who stay twice as strong.

National Work Zone Awareness Week is vital to the Vector team, and we are proud to champion the 2026 theme, "Safe Actions Save Lives," as safety remains our top priority every single day. This week serves as a crucial reminder that every driver's focus and caution directly protect our crews on the front lines, and we ask everyone to join us in practicing safe action, like slowing down and staying alert, to ensure that every worker returns home safely.

We are excited to shine a spotlight on Chris Pfeffer, our Senior Quality Control Auditor for the Central Region at Vector. Since joining the team in August 2019, Chris has become a cornerstone of our quality assurance efforts, serving as the "last line of defense" to ensure every project meets our rigorous standards before reaching the client. In his seven years with Vector, Chris has transitioned into a leadership role where he manages regional auditors and oversees specialized programs like UnEarth and Sewer AI/Pioneer, all while maintaining a steadfast focus on continuous improvement. He is a firm believer that the best auditors start with hands-on experience in the field to truly appreciate the challenges our crews face daily. Beyond his dedication to precision and team growth, Chris is a lifelong learner who enjoys building pollinator gardens, collecting fountain pens, and spending quality time with his family. We are proud to have Chris’s expertise and passion driving Vector forward!

April is National Safe Digging Month, a timely reminder that protecting the complex infrastructure beneath our feet is a shared responsibility. At Vector, we uphold this commitment by prioritizing hydro excavation, a non-destructive method designed to expose underground utilities with surgical precision. By using pressurized water to break up soil and a high-flow vacuum to remove the debris, we can safely navigate around sensitive gas, water, and fiber optic lines without the high risk of damage posed by traditional mechanical backhoes. This approach allows us to effectively clear ground material while ensuring our safe digging mission remains a priority for site safety and community reliability.

Vector recently participated in the SGA 2026 Conference to share insights on cross bore risk identification and proactive safety practices for critical infrastructure. Following our presentation, our team led a hands-on field demonstration featuring a Vector CCTV truck and iBak tractor, providing attendees with a live look at lateral launch operations and active inspection scenarios. We want to thank Billy Ratliff, David Marlar, Sam Hankerson, and Nick Gast for their expert ex*****on throughout the event. We also extend our gratitude to Duke Energy and SGA for the opportunity to collaborate on these essential industry safety standards.
