Segment three of “The Gap”
Working Together Instead of Competing
Vendors no longer compete - We Agrigate and AgVocate
To Agrigate is to link producers together.
My farm stand partners with Yo Grows and Honey Do Apiary. This allows more variety at my stand and those vendors stay viable and continue sustainability when they aren’t able to attend market.
Another form of Agrigration is to refer a customer to another vendor.
Let’s say a customer purchases a jar of my Peach Jam. Now that customer needs some bread to spread that jam on. I refer them to the bread vendor and relationships grow.
Every vendor at a market does some sort of AgVocation.
We are constantly bridging the gap, connecting with customers about our products, building trust and reducing uncertainty.
We are always open to provide fact based transparent information regarding sensitive topics.
The world has gotten smaller so local vendors have reduced.
We support one another.
We spread the word and relate with other vendors.
We share knowledge with each other.
There is no competition because we cannot produce like big box stores.
When there is no competition, our local community markets become power.
So come on down!
All the cool kids go to the farmers market!
