Thriven Design Serving others, creating places where people thrive
Architecture | Engineering | Planning | Interiors

Thriven Design was founded on the deep-rooted belief that design changes the way people live, work, and interact with their built environment for the better. Since 1971, we have been a pioneer in socially responsible and environmentally conscious work. We continue to maintain a reputation for impactful design, recognizing that each project becomes someone’s home, haven, place of work, learning, or support. Thriven Design provides a collaborative client experience built on communication, respect and appreciation for what is possible when four integrated disciplines - architecture, engineering, planning, and interior design - work together.

Please join us in congratulating Thriven Design Associate Marissa Berwick, AIA, NCARB, as she celebrates 10 years with Thriven Design. Marissa has had a tremendous impact on our firm since arriving as part of the Drexel 2+4 program. Marissa manages projects and provides mentorship on our multifamily housing team; she leads BIM training, and she has devoted enormous effort to our firm culture committees, chairing multiple committees and advancing licensing and growth opportunities for young architects. In addition, (in her free time!), Marissa is President-elect of AIA West Jersey and is an at-large Trustee for AIA New Jersey.

"Watching Marissa step up as such a strong project architect and manager has been a highlight of the past decade. She represents Thriven at the highest level, working tirelessly with clients and contractors to keep every project moving smoothly through all phases. I can't wait to see her continued growth and look forward to working alongside her for many more years,” said Principal Al Deluca, AIA, LEED AP.

"Beyond all that she brings to the firm as a practicing architect, Marissa is also a champion for the architecture profession as a whole,” said Thriven Design Managing Principal Matthew Bartner, AIA LEED AP. “Her advocacy, both internally and externally, for early career professionals has been incredibly valuable to us as we build our next generations of project and firm leaders, and I'm looking forward to the next 10 years working with her to grow the firm. Congrats Marissa on an impactful decade with Thriven Design!”

Cheers, Marissa! All of us at Thriven Design can’t wait to see what you accomplish in the years ahead!
