Our client was Quad-Tex Construction Inc, with Patterson Architects contributing to the facility. Design build for Texas A&M University at Brayton Fireman Training center. We constructed the main building, moved a large training tower, and constructed several small buildings at this training facility.

Single layer Simple Saver wall systems help speed the wall sheeting process and a thick layer of unfaced insulation. Their Quik-Stop™️ thermal break tape is preferred versus two layers of compressed laminated insulation. Here’s a break down from the image above:

1️⃣ Quik-Stop™️ Thermal Break Tape and Fast-R™️ Preformed Insulation Hangers: Quik-Stop™️ installed on the exterior fl**ge of the girt prior to installing metal wall panels and Fast-R™️ hangars installed within girt cavity to support and hold fiberglass wall insulation.

2️⃣ Uncompressed, Unfaced Fiberglass Insulation: Insulation is cut to fit the full girt space and impaled onto Fast-R™️ hangers.

3️⃣ Large Custom Sized Syseal™️ Fabric: Syseal™️ fabric spans entire bay and installed uninterrupted on the inside plane of girts and sealed around the perimeter.

4️⃣ UVMAX™️ Steel Straps: Installed on the inside plane of fabric that mechanical Syseal™️ fabric to structure.
