This is another example of a spectacular, all-glass staircase project by Lunna Designs.

This modern stair is in a private home in the Southeast portion of the United States. Sorry, can't give too much information due to privacy rights.

Note the triple laminated treads and handrail for safety. The treads are connected to the structural glass for support.

Just like any other material, glass can be used as a building material. Unlike other materials such as wood or steel, corrections can’t be made once the glass is tempered. The tempering process makes glass “tough” or strong. That’s why glass design – or glass planning – is critically important. When used in staircase applications for treads, rails/guards, or even for structural support, the glass must be designed accurately and efficiently. This ensures unparalleled beauty and at the same time avoids costly mistakes and undue waste. Planning is everything!

This is a recent project completed in Manhattan this January 2022 by Lunna Designs. Designer level, structural glass/stainless steel, semi-enclosed staircase leading to a private home sanctuary. Includes an anti-slip feature on each tread for a sure footing. Spectacular!

Field and shop fabricator/installers - we need you! We are a provider of designer level custom stairs and railings. We need you to help grow our team. Visit www.lunnadesigns.com to see more about our projects.

The ideal candidate will work well in a small team environment, have trade skills, and at least 5 years of experience in a related field (remodeling, construction, shop, etc.). For this position, candidates who can safely operate power tools, take and record accurate measurements, cut and assemble wood, glass, and metal projects should apply. Legal status to work in the United States is required.

A very important attribute for any candidate is to be reliable and be able to show up each day ready to work. Having your own tools and own transportation, to and from our facility, is a must.

All candidates who speak and write in English, either as one's primary or secondary language, are encouraged to apply.

Field and shop fabricator/installers - we need you! We are a designer level, custom stairs and railing supplier and we need to grow our team.

The perfect candidate(s) will work well in a small team environment, will have trade skills and at least 5 years of experience in a related field (remodeling, construction, shop, etc.).

For this position, general welding skills, steel fabrication, and shop experience are a must. However, candidates with lesser experience and or cross over skills may also apply with a desire to learn and grow with the team.
