James Hardie Fiber Cement is our top choice for fiber cement material because it's high quality. 💪

But it's also a top choice because they truly care about the homeowners they serve. 🤝

Just like Big Fish, James Hardie recognizes how impactful their work is. Homes are our biggest investment, but they're also the setting for all of our memories and significant life events, and they keep your family safe.

We don't take that lightly, and neither does James Hardie.

This might be why we usually have guests... When it's just Erik and Tanya, things get a little crazy. 😂

They say when you love your job, you'll never work a day in your life. It seems pretty obvious Erik LOVES his job! 🤣

Tune in to episode 63 of the Under Construction Podcast to hear more from their conversation, but you'll have to watch the video to find out whether Erik spends the whole episode hiding behind the tree. 🌳

James Hardie Building Products is dedicated to supporting their contractors 🤝

Traditionally, manufacturers might have one representative who covers several states. James Hardie has five representatives supporting Wisconsin alone.

The difference is significant. Their contractors feel supported and have access to guidance, ensuring homeowners have the best experience possible.

We might be well into fall, but we're still reminiscing about all that happened this spring and summer!

🛠️ We started the move into our new office

👶 Kelsey had her baby and went on maternity leave (we miss you, Kelsey!)

💙 Erik and Lindsay welcomed another grandbaby

✈️ The team enjoyed plenty of fun summer adventures

🌎 Wayne took another trip around the world (and didn't even send us a postcard)

🤝 We welcomed five new team members (great to have you, Ryan M., Ryan W., Samantha, Jaden, and Brett!)

We're so grateful for our hardworking team, who are as dedicated to their roles as they are to their families!

The Big Fish team has been growing in all kinds of ways! 💙

Over the past few months, we've celebrated marriages, new babies, and new hires.

Truly, this is exactly why we do what we do. To see families grow, to celebrate each other, and to serve.

Episode 63 is less about roofing and more about the heartbeat of Big Fish Contracting: our people.

🎙️ Tune in wherever you listen to podcasts.

Big Fish Crew 🤝 Brew Crew

If our team were in the MLB, who would they be? 👀

More importantly, is Erik Pat Murphy because he keeps everyone in line or because he keeps pancakes in his pocket? 🥞

Good luck Milwaukee Brewers! Our crew is cheering you on!

A finished project is exciting, but it's not what lights us up.

We care about...

💙 A new addition to your family

💙 Health changes that create new needs for your family

💙 Supporting our team, community, and beyond

You might hire us for a home project, but we hope to form a new relationship built on mutual trust and care. We're so grateful to get to work with so many Wisconsin-area homeowners and be part of their stories.

We're opening our first-ever office location in Hartland, and the location is extra special to us. 💙

For a long time, we've worked completely remotely. Much of what we do can be done virtually, and the rest typically happens at a homeowner's house anyway.

But, when the opportunity arose to take this space that used to be the Dieringer family home, it was too perfect to pass up. 🏡

Now, we have somewhere for the team to gather for team meetings, work in-person if when desired, and meet with homeowners. We're also building a showroom to show off our choice materials, and make it even easier to picture your home renovation. 🛠️

2026 marks 25 years as Big Fish Contracting, and it's remarkable how far we've come. Thank you for your continued support! We're proud to continue reinvesting in our Southeastern Wisconsin community.

🎙️ Listen to episode 63 of The Under Construction podcast with Erik and Tanya to hear more about the new office, along with everything else they've been up to recently.

Swipe to see this gorgeous roof come together ➡️

We helped these homeowners navigate insurance claims to get their roof replacement covered. 🤝

This CertainTeed Landmark Pro in Max Def Moire Black looks stunning with any façade, especially light siding like on this home. 🏠

Would you go this dark on a roof?
