🪴 Variegated Shell Ginger: $20

Plants grow in upright clumps from heavy, fleshy rhizomes that look (and smell) like that of culinary ginger (Zingiber officinale). The rhizomes produce stout, slightly arching stems with evergreen leaves. Several dark green, lance-shaped leaves up to 2 feet long grow at intervals along the stems. Plant is in a 1 gallon pot. Shipping is available.

A tropical plant that can be grown indoors in a warm, humid environment in bright indirect light, avoiding full sun. This plant does best in high humidity and will appreciate humidified rooms or placement on a bed of wet pebbles. Water moderately in the growing season, and reduce watering in fall to late winter. Pinch stem tips to keep plant compact. The best foliage is on new plants, therefore, some replace plants each year by taking cuttings in early spring to start new plants.

Papaya is native to Central America and is grown in tropical and warmer subtropical areas worldwide. It is a large herbaceous plant, usually with a single, straight trunk which can reach to 30 feet. The leaves are large (up to 3 feet in diameter) and deeply lobed, borne on hollow petioles 2 feet or more in length. The older leaves abscise as new leaves emerge, producing a palm-like form to the plant. The flowers and fruit arise from buds on the trunk at the base of the leaves.

Philodendron selloum is a big-leaf beauty in the Aroid clan. When included in an indoor space it screams lush jungle vibes. This plant loves lots of light, and in my humble opinion that is the key to getting it to reach massive proportions. You want to expose your plant to bright indirect light with some morning sunlight if the plant is acclimated to it. I’ve found that light from above works well for these plants as they tend to stretch out sideways toward the light source. This gives the plant a splayed-out appearance whereas light from above will help to keep the plant growing compact and lure the leaves upright. THIS PLANT IS HUGE!!!!!!!

The Schefflera has adapted well to indoor environments and can survive in medium light spaces, making it a showstopping option for spaces other large plants may struggle in, such as ficus. Place your Schefflera where it will receive medium to bright indirect light such as in a Northern or Eastern facing Window. If your window faces South or West, then it’s best to place it 5-10ft from the window in order to prevent leaf burn. This gorgeous plant has beautiful glossy leaves and swirl pattern.
