Out on a residential job today taking care of some heavy-duty structural and safety upgrades. To keep the new electrical hardware completely solid, we ended up cutting an access hole inside the wall so we could anchor the main clevis directly to the structure. We also mounted some strut inside the wall cavity to give the threaded rod a permanent, rigid anchor point. Finished things up by updating the home's grounding and bonding system to bring everything fully up to modern codes.
