Hiring Requirements & Qualifications Experience: 0–3 years in irrigation, landscaping, or plumbing.

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Technical Skills: Ability to diagnose and repair controllers, valves, pipes, and pumps; ability to read blueprints.

Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, stand, kneel, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Driver’s License: Valid license with a clean driving record.

Common Responsibilities Installation & Repair: Installing, servicing, and troubleshooting irrigation systems, including smart controllers and two-wire systems.

Water Management: Creating efficient watering schedules and conducting site assessments.

Tool Operation: Proficient use of pipe cutters, toners, multi-meters, and trenchers.

Desired Soft Skills Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking for troubleshooting.

Communication: Excellent communication for client interaction.

Dependability: Ability to work independently.

Salary Expectations Average salaries range from approximately $17 to $40 per hour, heavily dependent on experience.
