Have you noticed these guys have disappeared?? Guess where they are. If you guessed in your lawn laying larvae, you are correct. If you have not put down a preventative grub killer, then start checking your lawn. If you have patches struggling, it is easy to write them off as stressed from the heat. Dig up a small section of sod, and take a look! Over the next few months, these white grubworms can wreak havoc on a well maintained lawn. Give us a call (9016619993) or send us a message if you think you may have a grub issue. We would be happy to get it taken care of for you or simply provide some insight so you can take care of it yourself!
Don’t you just hate the bugs that we all experience in the mid south? It seems the nicer the weather, the worse the bugs. North MS Lawn Rescue knows that all of the little creatures have a purpose. They were placed here for a reason. However, we also believe they all have a place and clinging on to you while trying to enjoy your yard or back porch is not a place for them. Let us introduce one of the more obnoxious of these bugs, running a close 2nd to mosquitoes, May Beetles (June Bugs/scarabs). You know, the ones that latch on to you while you unwind at night enjoying the nice spring air? If that wasn’t enough, they have babies!!! These grub babies are always hungry, and guess what their preferred meal is... YOUR GRASS! We all spend a lot of time, effort, and money to maintain a lawn and these jokers just show up and eat the roots right out from under your beautiful lawn leaving you with a late August haze of brown Bermuda. Moral of the story? Treat your lawn with a grub killer! Reach out to North MS Lawn Rescue for information regarding these pests and other ways to make your lawn a more enjoyable place for you and your family.
