One question that comes up early in almost every renovation, Do you hire a designer first, or a builder?
Each path has its own strengths. A designer focuses on the vision. A builder focuses on ex*****on. But when those two roles are handled separately, sometimes what gets designed isn't quite what gets built, or what gets built doesn't fully reflect the original vision.
Design-build exists to close exactly that gap. Both sides are involved from the very beginning, so the design and the construction are considered together rather than passed along in separate stages.
It's a different way of approaching a project, and one worth understanding before you start.
