Tips on making crisp lines when wall paint meets the trim. I am asked a lot how I am able to keep the wall paint line close and strait against the trim. The answer is simple use a good quality tape (ex. Frog tape or Blue painters masking tape) make sure that you have the tape as close as possible to the wall and avoid bubbles or bunches in the tape on the top ledge of moldings or trim. After the wall is painted remove the tape while the wall paint is still wet or if you have multiple coats or paint fully dries before you are able to remove the tape can cause paint peeling problems. A Good trick that I use is take a loose razor blade and run a cut in the corner of where the trim meets the wall this will help in making sure dried paint does not pull off the wall as the tape is removed from the trim and makes for a nice clean line where the painted wall meets the trim every time.
