🏊‍♀️🍂 GETTING READY FOR YOUR POOL CLOSING?

Your closing date is coming up! Before our Gritz Pools & Spas crew arrives, there are a few things you can do to help make sure your pool is ready for closing.

✅ Clean the pool
Vacuum or remove leaves and debris from the bottom of the pool. Empty skimmer and pump baskets.

✅ Make sure the water is CLEAR
Please don't wait until closing day to address cloudy or green water! Your pool should be clean and clear before it is covered for the winter.

✅ Balance your water chemistry
Properly balanced water helps protect your liner and pool surfaces during the months your pool is closed. Stop in for a water test before your closing.

✅ Keep the water at its NORMAL operating level
Unless Gritz Pools has specifically instructed you otherwise, DO NOT drain or lower your pool water before we arrive. Unless it is a Concrete pool then you need to lower the water about 4–6 inches below the bottom of the waterline tile.

✅ Have your winter cover ready
Please have your winter cover and any closing accessories accessible for our crew.

✅ Clear the pool area
Remove floats, toys, furniture and other items that could make it difficult for our crew to access the pool and equipment.

🚨 MOST IMPORTANT: Keep your pool running until we arrive!
Don't shut off your pump or stop maintaining the pool just because swimming season is over. Circulation and proper water chemistry are still important right up until closing day.

🍁 A little preparation before we arrive helps us give your pool the best possible start to its winter nap and prevents extra charges.

Questions before your scheduled closing? Contact Gritz Pools & Spas and we'll be happy to help.
