🎀 BEHIND THE PINK RIBBON: MAMIE’S STORY 🎀

Mamie’s journey began when she noticed a change in her breast. She visited her regular doctor, who referred her for an ultrasound and biopsy.

In November 2019, Mamie was diagnosed with stage 4 ductal carcinoma. Her cancer was hormone-sensitive, and her treatment included chemotherapy and hormone-blocking medication.

After 10 rounds of chemotherapy, the tumor had shrunk enough for a lumpectomy. Radiation followed her surgery.

Nearly a year after her diagnosis, Mamie and her family received encouraging news: her treatment had made a difference, and there were no new signs of cancer. 💗

Ladies, please make your health a priority. Talk with your healthcare provider about the breast screenings that are right for you, and have any new breast changes checked—even if you’re not due for a mammogram. You deserve that care. 🎀

This October, we’re remembering Ginger’s mom by sharing her journey and making space for others to share theirs.

If you feel comfortable, share your experience, tell us about someone you’re honoring, or leave encouragement for a family walking this road.

For every fighter. For every survivor. For every family. 💗

🎀 OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH 🎀

This October, we’re giving back in honor of Ginger’s mom, Mamie Townsend, who faced breast cancer with strength and courage. We lost Mamie in March, and we’re keeping her memory close to our hearts. 💗

Stephenson Pest Control will be making a donation to support people and families affected by breast cancer, and our team will be wearing pink shirts in Mamie’s memory.

Throughout October, we’ll share more about Mamie’s journey and we’d love to hear from our Facebook friends, family, and customers, too.

If you feel comfortable, share your story, honor someone you love, or leave a word of encouragement in the comments. Whether you’ve faced breast cancer yourself, supported a loved one, or simply want to show some love, you’re welcome here. 💗

For every fighter. For every survivor. For every family. 🎀

🐜 Meet our mascot, C**t!

C**t’s name holds a very special meaning for our SPC family. We named him in loving memory of Mark & Ginger’s grandson, the baby boy Tyler and Leah lost during pregnancy. Though we never had the chance to meet him, he will always be cherished and remain a part of our family. 💙💚

In future posts, C**t will share pest tips and bring a little warmth, fun, and laughter to our family, friends, and customers.

We’re honored to introduce C**t and share the love behind his name. We look forward to all that lies ahead and everything he’ll do and bring to our Team.

🐾 TRIVIA THURSDAY ANSWER REVEAL!

The answer is B)Flying squirrel! 🐿️

A rodent is a mammal with front teeth that keep growing. Flying squirrels are rodents, and they glide from tree to tree. We saw a lot of guesses for mole ,but moles aren’t rodents!

Flying squirrels can also find their way into attic spaces. As cooler weather arrives, mice and other rodents may look for shelter in your home, too. Stephenson Pest Control offers rodent control and exclusion work to help close off their entry points.

Get your home ready for fall and winter give us a call 📱 if you’re seeing signs of activity! 💚💙
