Your deer stand can’t do much for you if you can’t see past the brush.

This lane had grown in enough to seriously limit visibility from the stand. I opened it back up while keeping plenty of surrounding cover intact.

Better sight lines. Better access. Still feels like hunting woods—not a clear-cut.

New trailer is officially getting put together. 👊

Before it starts hauling the skid steer all over Carlton & St. Louis County, I wanted to get the deck protected and looking right.

This is why I like before-and-after pictures.

No fancy explanation needed. The brush was taking over, so I opened the area back up and left the mature trees standing.

This is what managing a hunting property looks like.

Not everything needs to be knocked down. The goal is to open the right areas, improve visibility and access, and leave the cover that makes the property worth hunting in the first place.

This area went from thick and overgrown to open, usable ground while keeping the mature trees and surrounding habitat.

You’d be surprised how much usable ground is hiding under the brush.

This area had filled in to the point where most of the property was basically unusable. Clearing the brush opened it back up without stripping away everything that makes the property look like Northern Minnesota.

More room. Better access. Easier to maintain going forward.

Can you even call it a trail if you can’t get through it?

Northern Minnesota doesn’t take long to reclaim a trail. Brush moves in, trees close the sides, and pretty soon that old hunting trail is barely there.

I can open existing trails back up, widen them for better access, or cut new trails through overgrown property.
