No sparks. No smell. No tripped breakers. Just this.

We opened up a 1970s electrical panel that looked completely normal from the outside — but inside, the main components feeding electricity to the home were black and charred from decades of heat buildup. No warning signs whatsoever. Just silent damage hiding behind the panel door.

Electrical panels aren't meant to last forever, and older ones can become a serious hazard long before they show any obvious symptoms.

We swapped this one out for a brand new panel, and the homeowner now has full peace of mind knowing their home is safe and up to current standards.

So many issues here, where to begin?

These homeowners couldn't use their bathroom exhaust fan or heater because it would shut off the breaker. The breaker was doing its job, but this wiring hiding in the attic is unacceptable.

What to look for? Any time you see exposed wiring like this or wire connectors, it's not good.

A new bathroom exhaust fan/heater, wiring, and exterior vent and this home is back in business.

Another home updated.

This 1940s Beaverdale home had a majority of its original cloth wiring. While durable in its day, deteriorating insulation and the fact that grounding wasn’t standard practice at the time, this homeowner decided an upgrade was in order.

The home was fully rewired to modern standards without disturbing the original plaster.

There's Still K**b & Tube 😬

We recently got called to a Beaverdale home that was this close to being sold until the inspection turned up some unexpected (and very outdated) wiring hiding in the walls: old k**b & tube.

The sellers were confused. Wasn’t that supposed to be replaced years ago? They’d even told the previous electrician about it. He said he’d come back to fix it but never did.

So, we stepped in.

We ended up rewiring a big portion of the home, safely removing the old stuff and bringing the wiring up to today's standards so the sale could move forward without any more surprises.

If your home is older and you’re not 100% sure what’s behind the walls, it’s worth double-checking.

"I can't believe the difference the new lighting makes!"

The new condo owners wanted to add some lighting before they moved in. They were ecstatic with the results. We added some recessed lights in a few rooms as well as ceiling fans and ultra quiet bathroom exhaust fans to replace the originals that were decades old.
