Our September Employee Spotlight goes to someone who probably wouldn’t ask for the recognition, but has certainly earned it. This month, we are proud to recognize Donell White, one of our outstanding Superintendents at Birdsong Construction! 🏆⭐

When the work is demanding and the standards are high, Donell is the man for the job. Donell leads his crew on some of our biggest and toughest jobs with ease. He is known for being extremely diligent and a bit of a perfectionist. He doesn’t cut corners and doesn’t settle for “good enough.” If something isn’t up to his standards, he keeps working until it is, and that’s what sets Donell apart. He leads by example, keeps his head down, handles what needs to be handled, and puts in the work required to get the job where it needs to be.

Thank you, Donell, for everything you do for Birdsong Construction. Your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. We appreciate you and the standard you set, and we are proud to have you on our team!

There’s a lot of hard work that goes into getting the job done, and we’re proud to take a little time to recognize the people who make it happen! 👏🍽️

Last week, we had the opportunity to slow down and gather at the job site for a lunch celebrating our team and the long hours, early mornings, hot days, and hard work they’ve put in throughout the summer. Our crews continue to show up and push forward each and every day. We truly couldn’t do it without them!

A huge thank you to Dunn Utility Products LLC for putting on an incredible lunch for our team. We appreciate you taking the time to help us celebrate the people behind the work! And thank you to our Birdsong crew for everything you’ve put in this summer. We’re proud to have each of you on our team!

A quarter of a century of Robert Davis getting it done at Birdsong Construction, and we couldn't be more proud! 🎉👏

For 25 years, Robert has been putting in the hours, solving every form of pipe-related problem, and making sure the work gets done right every time. Robert currently serves as a Superintendent in charge of one of our pipe crews, where he brings the kind of experience and jobsite knowledge that only comes from decades of doing the work. He has the kind of grit, determination, and no-nonsense attitude that make him an irreplaceable part of the Birdsong team, and we think that level of dedication deserves to be celebrated!

Robert, thank you for everything you’ve given to Birdsong Construction over the last 25 years. Thank you for your hard work, your leadership, and for continuing to show up and get the job done. Congratulations on 25 years! We appreciate everything you do.

We are proud to bring home both the 2026 Gold Chapter Safety Award and the Platinum National STEP Award from ABC Mississippi Chapter! As always, we will continue to work hard, practice safety guidelines, and get the job done right every time. Great work, team!

Today, we’re proud to celebrate Charlotte Dinsmore and her 5-year work anniversary with Birdsong Construction! 🎉👏

To describe her as our trusted receptionist would just be wrong. There are some people at Birdsong who have a job description... and then there’s Charlotte. She’s receptionist, payroll, problem-solver, question-answerer, office MVP, and just about everything in between. If Birdsong Construction were a machine, Charlotte would be the WD-40. She keeps the gears turning, the squeaks at bay, and somehow keeps everything organized and running smoothly when things get busy. And we can’t forget one of her most demanding responsibilities: putting up with all 200+ of our guys every single day. We’re not sure how she does it, but she does it exceptionally well.

Charlotte, we appreciate everything you do for Birdsong more than you know. You are an absolutely essential part of this team, and we truly couldn’t function without you. Here’s to 5 years and many more!

From the jobsite to the beach! 🛠➡🌴

Our team traded dirt for sand for a few days at the 2026 AGC of Mississippi Annual Convention held at The Henderson in Destin, Florida! We are always grateful for the opportunity to represent Birdsong and be part of an organization committed to strengthening Mississippi’s construction industry.

Huge thanks again to AGC of Mississippi for another great convention in the books. We can't wait until next year!
