In this class you will learn how to select and prepare dried herbs for capsules, and the supplies needed. Discover a gentle, alcohol-free method of creating your own herbal extracts. Learn how to make herbal glycerites using vegetable glycerin and garden-grown herbs. We will explore which herbs and plant parts are best suited for glycerin extraction, how to harvest and prepare herbs for medicine making, proper extraction techniques, and how to use glycerites in everyday herbal wellness. Learn about herbs that are ideal for glycerites, including calming, digestive, and seasonal wellness herbs. Students enjoy demonstrations, sampling and take home an information handout.
