Before and after of a recent chimney repair! 🧱🏠

The repair process included:

• Demolition of the existing chimney crown and deteriorated brickwork, exposing the old cracked flue tile
• Removal and replacement of the damaged flue tile
• Rebuilding the chimney with new brickwork
• Construction of a new chimney crown
• Installation of a new stainless-steel chimney cap

The chimney is now properly rebuilt and protected from the elements.

Another complete front-step restoration by CMB Metal & Construction LLC.

During our initial inspection, we found extensive deterioration throughout the entrance:

• The existing steel railing had been previously repaired and improperly installed. It was severely rusted, loose, unstable, bent, and shaking.
• Seven limestone treads and platform stones were cracked, broken, and loose.
• Two concrete lintels beneath the platform were cracked and structurally compromised.
• The steel angle lintel was heavily rusted, deteriorated, and thinning.
• Several bricks were cracked, and many mortar joints required repointing.

We removed and replaced the damaged materials, repaired and repointed the brickwork, restored the structure beneath the platform, and installed new limestone.

To complete the project, we fabricated and installed a brand-new custom aluminum railing system with welded base flanges at every post and a lifetime warranty on the fabrication.

From unsafe and deteriorated to strong, secure, and built to last. 🇮🇹

Structural steel repair completed by cutting out and replacing all severely deteriorated steel where section loss exceeded 60%, and reinforcing all areas with over 20% deterioration. The column was reinforced with new steel plates, and the existing cross beam connections were removed, rebuilt, and reinforced to restore full structural integrity.

Emergency sewer line repair completed this morning.

Customer had a clogged toilet and the plumber’s camera located the issue approximately 17 ft into the sewer line. We exposed the existing line, removed the badly corroded section, cleared the blockage, and replaced it with new PVC pipe using proper couplings.

After testing the line, we backfilled, compacted the area, and left the site clean and leveled.

Job completed in 4 hours.

Structural welding completed in Red Bank, NJ.

CMB Metal & Construction was called in to weld a steel post connection to the existing beam in order to satisfy framing inspection requirements.

The connection was cleaned, fitted, and welded on site in a tight framing area, reinforcing the post-to-beam support point and preparing the structure for the next inspection stage.
