Good evening everyone!

As I’m back in the field and bouncing back and forth in the office knocking out tasks, I’d like to share some past projects.

Here’s a deck we did a little while back for a lovely client in Garfield Heights.

Their old one wasn’t too secure anymore, you can see the damage in the joists.

So we tore it up, replaced it, and these clients get to enjoy a beautiful deck for years to come!

Unfortunately we don’t take on too many decks anymore, as a solo contractor I need a good set of hands or even a small team to help me on these and until I find that these are on hold. But I’d love to get back into it, it’s some of my favorite work and they turn out beautiful.

Hey you guys!

This was a siding job just completed today with new T1-11 and fresh paint.

This client was incredible. They were so good to work with and I had a great time working on their home!

Years ago they had a deck removed, and a window installed in place of the old sliding glass door.

The repair of the T1-11 wasn’t ideal, they patched in a couple panels and left a 2x6 in the middle of the home.

Initially we weren’t going to repair this, but after swapping out some fascia, trim and soffits (more pictures to come later), we both decided it was best to replace the siding too while we were at it.

So we cut out the old, removed that 2x6, added some house wrap to the patch, and cut and installed the new T1-11.

After that, Contractor Breakthrough came in and sprayed it with a finish that’s going to last for many many years. They do incredible work!

Everyone loves it, and it gives our clients a beautiful new space in the backyard that they frequent so often in the summer, which is coming up just around the corner!

Good evening everyone!

Just finished up a whole home LVP install in Brunswick, Ohio.

12 mil Hazelwood LVP. A great product with a very neutral color that brings everything together.

Original floor was a hardwood with carpet that was left from the previous owners.

Legend has it they were still picking up dog hair from the 90’s!

First we tore the carpet up, and laid 1/4” OSB to raise the subfloor up flush with the hardwood.

Then we laid the floor on top of that with a 1/4” gap around the perimeter, nailed in some quarter round to cover the gaps, caulked, and installed some transition strips and stair edging on the step to the kitchen.

Not too bad, everyone’s happy and they’re in love with their new space! And on top of that, they got a spring cleaning while we were at it! Cleaned the vents out too so they’ll be breathing pretty good for a little while.

Happy Tuesday!

On a few big jobs this week, so while we’re waiting on before’s and after’s of those here’s a little throwback from last summer.

Everyone, this is Ben.

Ben’s painting this exterior on the top of a fully extended 32” ladder.

For those that don’t know, Ben worked with us part time for a solid year before enrolling in the military in March.

He was an excellent helper! A true pleasure to be around. He caught onto everything super quick, he was great with our clients, and he worked harder than 99% of the planet.

This project is on one of the home we helped our clients sell in 2025.

It included scraping and painting the siding on the home with just one coat of the same color. It really brightened it up and gave the home a fresh look.

The shade kills the final picture a little, but you can see the difference in the pic with the ladder fully extended and the final picture.

And before you go, everyone wish Ben the best! He’s going to do great in the military, no doubt about that. They got a good one.

We hope you all had an incredible Easter weekend!

He is risen, just as He said 🙏🏼

We’ll be on a flooring job these next couple of days, so we’ll post some recent jobs in the meantime 🙂

Here’s an LVP floor we laid in our rental unit.

We tore out the carpet and found some nice wood flooring underneath. One day we’ll refinish that but for now this LVP really does well to enhance the space.

Now we have an incredible tenant moving in soon, and with a bit of a cleaning before the move in date this place is ready to go!

We just beat the rain today!

This client had a few shingles blow off during one of the recent wind storms.

Every single roofer in Cleveland is busy, so we had to come up with something in the meantime before they got here

We didn’t want to damage the shingles too much with nail holes. We decided to throw up some medium duty 6x8 tarps, tucked and nailed it under the shingles, nailed the tarp to a 2x8 board cut to size, and used some zip tape to guide water over them until the roofers arrive.

Not too bad, it’ll help keep water out of the house temporarily.

While we don’t do roof work, emergency fixes like this we can do! And we know a couple really good roofers if you ever need repairs or replacements 🙂

Happy door slab replacement day!

Originally this was a no panel white door. The previous contractor decided on replacing it with a 6 panel that did not match the other doors in the building. The mortises were a little chewed up, they ran a circular saw because it was too wide for the opening, and there was paint on the hardware.

I’m very grateful to have been called in for this correction.

We mortised the hinges, cut the holes for the lock set, sanded, primed, sanded, painted, sanded, and painted again. It’ll need one more coat for that finished look, but not too bad!

Our client is happy, we’re happy, and we’ll be back next week to throw on the final coat.
