What you're seeing is 2 handsome gentlemen next to some Boxwoods suffering from dieback due to environmental conditions - Notice plant in background is dying from the root up.
Off Granger Road these bushes may take the brunt of severe winds and sun, salt from the streets and plows pushing up onto a commercial ground that is already dry is a recipe for disaster.
-Likely a combination of dry soil, salt, winter conditions, wind, and sun damage.
There is no obvious signs of blight or disease which we would notice black streaking on the stems or larvae on leaves. You can scratch the stem with you finger to see if there's brown or green underneath which will tell you if the branch is still alive or dead.
Solution - Plant a more disease resistant and hardy specimen for this area like Holly or Yew.
* Suggestion - Big Boy has two locations here in Cleveland and I recommend you go order yourself one, I bet you will be a fan.
