⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Best damn contractor ever!"

In 2024 we retired to beautiful Cleveland Tennessee and found a house we loved … but by 2025 the updates we wanted started to surface. We were diehard DIYers; however, when it came to our main bathroom and closet renovation, we had to face the reality of being of a certain age and the extent of a down to the studs, rewire and replumb, adjust walls and then rebuild might outlive us. So instead of ignoring all the creative ideas and designs we were coming up with we faced the reality that it was time to find a contractor who could deliver our design and meet the standard of excellence we expected.

Meeting with Jason Liers of Stoneridge Remodeling to discuss our major bathroom renovation was a very pleasant surprise. Jason grew up in the construction business and his depth of knowledge in all trades was impressive. He quickly understood our sketches and was able to understand our vision with the desired level of quality we were requesting. Once we received his written proposal and estimate we were amazed at the detail and thoroughness of the plan we discussed when we met. But when we got to the estimate cost we definitely had "sticker shock". A turn-key project was not going to be cheap!

Fast forward 6 months later and we knew Jason was still the best contractor for our job but we were still struggling with the cost of a turn-key renovation. We sat down with Jason again and laid out our budget and ideas to address the cost estimate. Jason was respectful, honest and creative in discussing how we could lower the costs without modifying our plans too much. He was willing to accept, with his oversight, to allow us to take on parts of the project including destruction, electrical, and painting. Jason adjusted his proposal and estimate and we signed the contract.

Jason is a hands-on contractor overseeing the best trades people in the area. He frequently was on the job, problem-solving with his folks. He oversaw the scheduling and the renovation worked like a fine-tuned machine. He was often hands-on and not afraid to assist. The trades people were there according to schedule and on time. When we were involved, he gave us our timeline and oversaw our work making suggestions as needed. He was available to answer questions and would come in person if there were concerns. To put it concisely he was truly there for us and cared about our job.

Jason's passion for renovating is evident, and his suggestions and ideas enhanced our renovation project. He is gifted with the ability to understand design and capture the scope as well as sequence of the project in a single meeting. His relationships and collaboration with the best trades people in the area is impressive. Our bathroom renovation results were beyond our expectations: beautiful, functional, and lasting.

Does your bathroom feel like it belongs to someone else?

You deserve a space that fits your life- one that's beautiful, functional, and is uniquely yours. Outdated finishes, poor storage, and a shower that's seen better days can make mornings feel like a chore.

That's where we come in.

We help homeowners transform tired bathrooms into spaces they actually love. We listen, we plan, and we take care of every detail- so you can skip the stress and walk into a result that exceeds your expectations.

That's exactly what happened here.

Custom cabinetry. A walk in glass shower. Quartz countertops. A space built for real life.

Your dream bathroom is closer than you think. Let us show you how.

Most homeowners come to us with ideas.

Pinterest photos. Inspiration images. Maybe even materials they’ve already fallen in love with.

And that’s the fun part of remodeling.

But ideas alone don’t build great spaces.

Development does.

Turning ideas into a finished bathroom or kitchen requires detailed planning, coordination between trades, and a clear understanding of how every piece fits together.

That’s why we take the time to develop each project before construction begins.

Because the better the plan…

…the smoother the project
…the clearer the expectations
…and the better the final result.

Most clients already have the vision.

Our job is to make that vision reality!

One of the biggest misconceptions about remodeling is that planning adds cost to the project.

In reality, planning is what prevents expensive mistakes.

When the design and development process is done correctly:

✔ Materials are selected ahead of time
✔ Layout decisions are finalized
✔ Trades know exactly what they are installing
✔ Pricing is accurate
✔ Schedules run smoother

Without that planning, projects often run into:

• Change orders
• Material delays
• Rework
• Schedule disruptions

That’s why we invest time into the design and development phase before construction begins.

Because when everything is clearly defined up front, the build process becomes far more predictable.

Years ago we worked on a project that taught us an important lesson about the value of project development.

A client named Angie came to us with a beautiful vision for her bathroom.

She already had most of her materials purchased and just needed someone to install everything.

Since she had delivery confirmations, we moved forward.

But during construction, problems started showing up.

When it came time for the plumbing rough-in, we didn’t have the specifications for the vanity… so we had to guess where the plumbing should go.

We guessed wrong.

The electrical layout wasn’t fully defined either, which made the lighting placement uncertain.

Then the tile selection changed mid-project, which caused rework and schedule delays.

Suddenly trades were waiting for answers, and the project slowed down.

The bathroom ended up taking two weeks longer than expected and ran over budget due to change orders.

Not because anyone did anything wrong.

But because the project hadn’t been fully developed before construction began.

That experience reinforced something we believe strongly today:

Planning upfront saves time, money, and frustration later.

When people hear “design process,” they often think it just means picking colors or looking at tile samples.

But for us, design and development is really about making sure every detail of your project is clearly defined before construction begins.

Here’s how our process works:

First, we perform a site measure and due diligence of the space.
This allows us to understand the exact dimensions and limitations of the room.

Next, we ask questions about style, functionality, and color preferences to understand the vision you have for the space.

Then we develop a floor plan to make sure the layout works both visually and functionally.

Once the layout is approved, we create a photo-realistic rendering so you can see what the finished space will look like before construction begins.

Finally, we prepare a detailed proposal and scope of work so everyone knows exactly what’s included in the project.

The goal is simple:

Clear expectations for both the homeowner and our team.

One of the most common things we hear from homeowners is:

"We already know exactly what we want."

And honestly… that’s great.

Most of our clients come to us with inspiration photos, ideas, and sometimes even materials already picked out.

But even when you know exactly what you want, there’s still a critical step that can’t be skipped:

Project development.

Because everything works in your head, but not always in reality.

Before construction begins we still have to determine things like:

• Accessibility
• Plumbing locations
• Electrical and lighting placement
• Cabinet and vanity specifications
• Tile layout and material quantities
• Structural considerations
• And the full scope of work

Without that work up front, projects almost always run into delays, rework, and unexpected costs.

Over the next few posts, we’re going to show you why the design and development phase is one of the most important parts of a successful remodel.

✨ Function Meets Elegance in This Dream Kitchen Remodel ✨

From the soft sage cabinetry to the bold stainless accents, every inch of this kitchen was designed for both beauty and practicality.

✅ Pull-out storage for spices, utensils, and cutting boards keeps the space clutter-free.
✅ A Wolf range and hood make meal prep a joy.
✅ Quartzite countertops and warm lighting bring everything together with timeless charm.

This remodel proves that smart design and craftsmanship go hand-in-hand.

If you could add one custom feature to your dream kitchen, what would it be — a hidden pantry, coffee bar, or maybe a built-in spice rack like this one? 👇

✨ Details Matter ✨

In the middle of a full kitchen remodel, it might be easy to overlook the “small stuff.” But sometimes, those small details can steal the entire show if they’re not done right.

This section of hardwood flooring repair may not seem like much compared to custom cabinetry, tile work, or the brand-new countertops—but imagine if it stood out for the wrong reasons.

Our team made sure the new boards blended seamlessly into the existing floor. Now, instead of drawing unwanted attention, this repair quietly supports the beauty of the entire remodel.

Because at Stone Ridge Remodeling, we believe excellence isn’t just in the big picture—it’s in every board, every cut, and every detail. 👊

Check out our latest review!

We hired Jason and his company to redo our master shower. The shower was just a small shower insert and we wanted to remove the insert and expand the shower and add custom tile work. The results exceeded our expectations! Jason came out quickly to give us a fair estimate. He did a great job helping us pick tile and gave us good, reasonable advice on other decisions we had to make. He did a great job of communicating with us every step of the way. He was fair about change orders and charges. And the result is amazing! The new shower is perfect and looks better than we expected! I highly recommend Jason for any job you have! I have attached before and after pictures of the shower!!
