Did you know the longest straight-line land survey in history stretched over 200 miles? Back in the 1800s, surveyors had to measure huge stretches of land using only chains, compasses, and a ton of patience and no GPS, no drones, just raw skill and determination. Talk about dedication! 😲

📐 ALTA Survey vs. Title Survey — What’s the Difference?

If you’re buying property, you might hear both of these terms—and they’re easy to mix up. Here’s a simple breakdown 👇

🔍 ALTA Survey (ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey)
An ALTA survey follows strict standards set by the American Land Title Association (ALTA) and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS).

🎉 Happy New Year from TC Survey & Mapping! 🎉

As we wrap up another year of measuring twice (and sometimes three times), setting points, drawing lines, and explaining that yes… boundaries really do matter 📐🧭

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to our clients, partners, and community for trusting us with your projects this past year. We truly couldn’t do what we do without you — and we’re incredibly excited for all the new projects, new technology, and new things coming in the year ahead.

📅 Quick heads up: We’ll be closed tomorrow while we recalibrate our instruments and recover from New Year’s celebrations.
