🔥 Turning your heat on for the first time this season? Don’t forget this important safety check!

As cooler mornings start making their way into East Tennessee, many of us will be turning on the heat for the first time in months. If you have fuel-burning appliances in your home, now is the perfect time to test your carbon monoxide alarms, too.

Carbon monoxide (CO) is colorless and odorless — you can’t see it or smell it. A working CO alarm is an important line of defense.

🏠 Before heating season gets underway:
🔋 Test your CO alarms and replace batteries if needed.
🔥 Turn your heat on now and make sure everything seems to be operating properly.
🚨 If a CO alarm sounds, get everyone outside to fresh air and call 911.

Want to learn more about carbon monoxide safety? The CDC has some great information here:

https://www.cdc.gov/carbon-monoxide/about/index.html

Need a CO alarm? Here’s an easy option to check out:

If something doesn’t seem right when you turn your heat on, give Giles Heating & Air a call. We’ll help make sure you’re ready for the colder weather ahead. 💙💛

🔥 Your AC has been working overtime all summer… but is your HEAT ready to take over?

We’re in that weird East Tennessee time of year where the AC may be running in the afternoon, but those cooler mornings are getting closer. Now is the perfect time to make sure your heat is ready before you actually need it.

Take 5 minutes today:

🔹 Check your filter — if it’s dirty, change it.
🔹 Switch your thermostat to HEAT and make sure it responds.
🔹 Run your heat for 10–15 minutes and make sure warm air is coming from the vents.

Don’t let the first cold morning be the day you find out something isn’t working. 🥶

If something doesn’t sound right, smell right, or feel right, give Giles Heating & Air a call. We’ll help you get ahead of the cold. 💙💛

🍂 Cooler East Tennessee mornings are on the way, and now is the perfect time to make sure your heat is ready!

Before the first truly cold morning hits, turn your heat on and let it run for a bit. 🔥 Listen for any unusual noises, make sure warm air is coming from your vents, and check that everything seems to be working like it should.

Catching a problem now can save you from waking up to a cold house later! 🏠

If something doesn’t seem right, give Giles Heating & Air a call. We’ll help make sure your home is ready for the cooler weather ahead. 💙💛

This one was built to last! 👏

This GE system had been keeping this home comfortable since the late 1970s — nearly 50 years of service — and it was still running when it was finally time for an upgrade.

Our team replaced the original equipment with a new, more efficient system that’s ready to keep this home comfortable for years to come.

There’s something pretty cool about seeing equipment from the ’70s still doing its job! 💪
