We recently wrapped up excavation and site preparation for a large pole barn foundation in Englewood, TN. This project involved stripping topsoil, grading, excavation, and preparing a solid building pad to ensure the structure has a strong foundation for years to come.

Currently working a project here in Athens, Tennessee for a charming little home right in the middle of town.

We’ve started by tearing out the old fence and opening up the property by cleaning up the overgrown tree line. Big difference already just getting everything cleared out and defined.

Next up, we’re installing a rolling gate to give the homeowner both privacy and smooth, easy access for vehicles. We’re also reworking the gravel driveway—fixing low spots, improving drainage, and getting it shaped back up the right way.
This one’s coming together nicely—simple upgrades, but they make a big impact.

We’ll post the final once it’s wrapped up.

📍 Project Update – Old Fort, TN

Another project coming together nicely here in Old Fort, Tennessee.
Our crew at Sons Land Services recently completed a 50' x 50' house pad, carefully graded and compacted to provide a solid, level foundation for the upcoming home build. Along with the pad, we also installed approximately 150 feet of access road, including a culvert installation to ensure proper drainage and long-term stability for vehicle access.

Getting this pad dialed in was a lot of fun, and it's always rewarding to see a property start to take shape as construction begins.
Next up, we’ll be returning to the site to install the septic system. Because this property will be using a pump system, we’re currently waiting for the contractor to finish pouring the foundation and complete the necessary improvements, including running electrical service to the property, before we move forward with that portion of the work.

We’re excited to be part of this project and can’t wait to see the homeowners build a beautiful home on this incredible piece of property.

Son’s Land Services is hard at work again in Delano, Tennessee, completing a full driveway expansion and drainage correction project.
This homeowner needed more usable space and better water control. We’re widening the driveway so two vehicles can safely pass when coming in and out, eliminating a low spot that was holding water, and properly grading the entire surface to prevent standing water and future erosion.

🌱 Another Lawn Restoration Success in Benton, TN! 🌱
Last August, we helped a returning customer in Benton transform his yard with composted chicken manure, full-lawn fertilization, and professional grading. At the time, his lawn was mostly clay with spotty tufts of grass and poor growth.
He chose to plant the fescue himself — and when we came back this February, the results were incredible! His lawn is now lush, deep green, and thriving, and you can clearly see the difference where we spread and worked in the fertilized manure with our equipment.
He was so pleased with the transformation that he had us back to spread more composted manure to continue strengthening and establishing his healthy lawn.

Another multi-phase project completed in Etowah, TN for a returning client — we’re always grateful for repeat business.

This project began with construction of a 350-foot gravel access road connecting the property to the county road, providing reliable entry for future construction. We then performed finish grading and compaction to build a properly prepared residential building pad for a tiny home.

The final phase included installation of a new septic system and drain field, completed according to local regulations and approved at inspection.

We just finished up a 70×74 building pad in Englewood, TN, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Even with the cold weather fighting us the whole way, our entire crew showed up and worked together to get this site prep job done on time.

🚜 Professional Land Clearing & Stump Removal in Benton, TN

We’re currently completing a land clearing project in Benton, Tennessee, helping a customer finally reclaim property that’s been sitting for years. The site had large debris piles and heavy overgrowth, and our crew stepped in to handle full land clearing, debris removal, and site cleanup.

Using our CAT 323 excavator, we’re removing large stumps and root balls, including stubborn hardwood stumps that require deep excavation. For approved burns, we follow a strict safety process — digging deep pits, building protective berms, and keeping water on site at all times to ensure safe and controlled stump burning.
