WHEW!!! 😅 What a crazy couple of weeks! As we near the weekend and head into more rain to come, we are grateful to be (almost nearly) caught up! We have a few calls yet to connect with, but it seems like the bulk of it is behind us.

During these crazy nature event events where storms and floods threaten our homes, it can truly be a struggle to help everyone in as timely a manner as we would prefer to. When dealing with a flood in your basement, tensions and emotions understandably run high for everyone. But our customers have shown us nothing but gratitude as we managed our way through a long backlog of calls.

We have always made it our aim to be honest, dependable, hard-working, and top quality in our trade. As a result, we feel like we have been blessed with some of the best customers that we could possibly hope for. It is truly our privilege to serve the community, and we value the relationships, and dare we say friendships that form out of these events. It has truly been a blessing to get to know many of you over the years.

Part-time or full-time positions available.

Work duties include heavy lifting, trenching and digging, installation of liners and drainage components, gutters (must be comfortable with two story ladders on occasion), and light concrete work.

Must have a clean driving record.

We wrapped up a particularly wet one today! This basement is dealing with a combination of high water table as well as water trapped inside the cinderblock walls from backfill saturation. Though it’s raining cats and dogs outside, this basement was already dry as we started to pour our concrete. These systems really work, and we love to see the results!

We are taking a large number of calls this week with the continuing rains, and more rainfall is projected to come in the weeks ahead. Cinderblock walls are notorious for trapping water during wet seasons. A critical part of any interior drain tile system is relieving this by means of drilling weep-holes. Here we can see exactly the reason for doing so as our technician installs these drainage points.

Some people might ask why we don’t try to stop this process altogether by sealing the exterior of the foundation. The simple answer is that we often do. As a full service company, we offer both interior and exterior methods.

Unfortunately, many homeowners simply cannot afford the inordinate expense of digging up their entire foundation (and losing all of their landscaping, concrete work, and any other obstacles in the process). Interior methods like this are a reasonable (and permanent) medium between taking on the highly invasive exterior process or doing nothing at all, and doing nothing at all is terrible for your foundation’s health. The vast majority of drainage systems being done today are interior systems, and they can extend the life of your foundation by decades and decades to come.

If you get water in your basement from time to time, this might be one of the many ways that water is finding its way in.
