We are a small masonry company based out of Ohio City, minutes from the heart of downtown Cleveland.

We employee skilled union workers to complete a variety of masonry jobs such as tuck pointing, mortar & brick replacement, caulking, and washing.

🎄🎄Mid State Christmas Party! 🎄🎄

Last night was our annual Christmas party and we'd like to thank everyone who took the time to come and celebrate with us!

We haven't had the ability to have our party for the last few years due to covid restrictions and everyone was more than ready to welcome the tradition back.

Yesterday, management from Mid State Restoration attended the Marcum Construction Summit where we listened to Speakers, Matthew Turkstra and Steven Ostrowski speak on politics in construction and newest robot laser technology (check out "Spot" below!!)
The Keynote Speaker was economist, Anirban Basu, who was fantastic and engaging in a way only those skilled in public speaking can be. I highly recommend everyone hearing him speak, if the opportunity ever arises for you!

This was a fun event with great energy among the crowd and we were very happy to be invited to attend!

November Employee Recognition

This month we've chosen Christopher Flora!

Chris has been with Mid State for the last 8 years, but has been doing mason work for the past 32 years. One of his favorite things to do is stone work and has a fascination with old stone masonry.

Chris has been working diligently alongside many employees on our crew at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery over the last couple years. He has been primarily setting the limestone capstones for their columbariums- and these babies are HUGE weighing in just about 4800 pounds each. He stated this was one of his favorite jobs to work at!

Chris has 3 grown kids and is challenging anyone that he has the Best Wife in the whole world, or at the very least, thinks he has the best wife who makes the best sandwiches in the whole world. He happily lets his eccentric flag fly and enjoys ghost hunting, fishing, and flying his drone.

Thank you, Chris, for always taking on any task we have for you and doing it well! Not sure we have any hauntings in the office, but if I find any, I'm hoping you'll take care of it for me!

***Today is the last day to vote!!!*** One of our guys is getting a Visa gift card simply for sharing the morning sky with us.

What's the upside to starting work before the sun does? The view.

These blue collar boys work hard before the city is even awake and we asked them to submit some of their best shots of the sky they see when starting their day on all their various jobs. Now we ask our audience to vote on their favorite shot!! Our winner will be chosen by the most amount of likes under their picture, so feel free to share with your friends too!

October Employee Recognition!

This month we've chosen our first Local 310 Laborer to recognize- Kyle Rieker.

Kyle's been an invaluable part of Mid State's team for the past 13yrs and has worked on a large majority of our historical projects in that time. One of his favorite jobs worked is Clark Hall at Case Western Reserve University and he is currently working at Case's Sears Tower.

Kyle's favorite part of his job is lifting heavy s**t with even heavier machinery and he's one of the best operators we have here at Mid State!

In his personal life, he has a wide array of interests including tattoos, fishing and sitting around a bonfire drinking beer, but most notably he enjoys being an underwear model in his spare time and frolicking through wildflowers, catching butterflies. He works hard to help fund his wife's lavish lifestyle with unlimited flowers, footrubs, and trips to Target and Starbucks. He's also the father of 4 undeniably adorable children that look and act exactly like him.

Thanks for all the hard work you do, Kyle! We'd certainly be lost without your soft, quiet, and happy demeanor, and the myriad of fantastic skills you've shared with this world.

Forest City Shuffleboard put together a pretty kick ass setting for us to treat our guys to an employee appreciation party this evening. Thanks to them for being great but a HUGE thank you to all our guys and the work they put in every single day! This crew works hard and parties harder especially when our Guardians beat the Yankees!!!! ⚾️❤💙🍻

A very special thank you to all our guys for being the hard working people you are! We're nothing without all of you and the work you do is noticed and appreciated. Thank you for everything you give back to the company and our communities through your dedication.

Since summer ran straight away from us, we get to introduce our August and September employees whom we've chosen to recognize.
Mr. August would rather not be posted and we're all about honoring consent here! MZ was chosen because as a very long standing member of our team, he has worked through all of the crappy conditions being a mason in Ohio has to offer and is always willing to do whatever the job needs, making him a very valuable and loved member of our team!

Our September employee is brand new to our team. Meet Gene, who is our driver and has only been with us a very short while. Despite that, he has shown how hard of a worker he is in that short time and we are happy to recognize all the effort he's put into his job thus far.

Thank you for all of your hard work, guys!! We are happy to have you both with us!
