Every once in a while, you’ve gotta have a little fun at work! 😜 But behind the goofy poses and good laughs, our crew takes the work seriously.

This home had severe water damage, including an addition that had shifted out of level. Our team got to work:

🏠 Re-leveled the existing addition structure
🔨 Replaced water-damaged wood
🛡️ Treated the affected areas to help prevent future issues
💧 Installed proper weatherproofing wrap — something the home was previously missing
🏡 Installed the siding, soffit, fascia, and J-channel the right way to help protect the home from continuing water intrusion

So yeah… we might strike a ridiculous pose every now and then. 😂

🏠 WHEN THE SIDING ISN’T INSTALLED RIGHT, WATER WILL FIND A WAY IN. 💧

This home had a serious water intrusion problem caused by siding, soffit, and J-channel that were originally installed incorrectly. The result? Massive water damage that needed to be addressed from the inside out.

We tore the siding off, repaired the water-damaged areas, and properly prepared the home for the next phase of the project. we also installed temporary protective barriers to keep the home dry and protected from the elements while the work was underway.

Once the repairs were complete, we reinstalled the siding, soffit, and J-channel correctly, making sure everything was properly integrated to direct water where it belongs - away from the home.

This wasn’t about putting a Band-Aid over the problem. We found the cause, fixed the damage, and corrected the installation so our customer could have confidence in their home again. 🔨

✨Built to look like it was always there. ✨

This gorgeous awning addition came together beautifully, and that metal roof tie-in? Absolutely seamless. 👏🏼

One of the most important parts of an addition like this is making sure it doesn’t look like an addition, it should look like it was designed and built with the original home from day one. And that’s exactly what we accomplished here.

We definitely had to jump through a few hoops with permitting in this location, but that’s no sweat off our back. We’re Built Right because we know exactly what we’re doing. 💪🏼

We work closely with our engineers and the city to make sure every project is designed, permitted, and built correctly. That means our customers can have confidence knowing their project isn’t just going to look beautiful, it’s going to be done the right way.

From the structure to the details, the new roof tied into the original home perfectly. The finished result is clean, seamless, and absolutely gorgeous. 🏡✨

🚨 WHAT LOOKED LIKE A SIMPLE WATER DAMAGE REPAIR… WAS SO MUCH MORE.

This addition had been built onto the customer’s home on a slope, but the original construction wasn’t properly built to code. Because of the way the walls, siding, and J-channel were installed, water was being directed down into the structure instead of away from it.

Over time, that water intrusion caused the floor to flood and the 2x4 framing to rot.

Once we opened everything up, we found just how extensive the damage really was. 👀

🔨 Here’s what we did:
• Removed all water-damaged materials
• Replaced the rotted 2x4 framing with pressure-treated, code-compliant studs
• Removed and replaced the damaged subfloor
• Reinstalled the carpet
• Jacked the house back into level because the bottom plate had rotted and the structure had settled out of level
• Replaced the deteriorated bottom plate with the correct material
• Bolted the structure back down properly
• Corrected the exterior siding and J-channel to properly direct water away from the structure
• Replaced the soffit and fascia
• Re-insulated the interior
• Replaced the damaged drywall
• Taped, mudded, and finished the walls (customer elected to do their own baseboards and paint)

What started as a water problem turned into a full structural and exterior repair — and fixing the source of the water intrusion was just as important as repairing the damage it caused.

This is exactly why water damage shouldn’t be covered up with a quick patch. If the underlying problem isn’t fixed, the damage will eventually come back.
