Keep grass clippings out of your landscaping beds!
Blowing grass clippings into landscaping beds can introduce w**d seeds and organic material, giving w**ds another opportunity to take hold.
Some stats for you:
A single mature crabgrass plant can produce up to 150,000 seeds under favorable conditions.
Dandelions can produce thousands of seeds in a single growing season.
Many common w**d seeds can remain viable in the soil for years, waiting for the right conditions to germinate.
Something as simple as blowing your grass clippings away from your landscaping instead of into it can help keep your beds cleaner and reduce future w**d pressure.
