You Butter Believe We Pulled It Off. 🧈💛
I am tired, I am weak, I am worn... but my heart is FULL and my cup truly runneth over! I love these two, and I loved every minute of celebrating them and their upcoming nuptials.
My daughters and I accomplished quite a task together and, if I do say so myself, we make a pretty great team. We each have our own specific strengths, and over the years we've learned how to use them to our fullest advantage.
If you guessed correctly, the theme was butter—as in "You Butter Believe We're Getting Married," "My Butter Half," and more butter puns than I care to admit. 😊
I enlisted the help of SarahRuth Owens of SarahRuth's Sourdough Etc., and she absolutely knocked it out of the park. She created sourdough boules, French bread, scones, cinnamon rolls, corn muffins, homemade butters, and delicious glazes that fit the theme perfectly.
All of the décor was hand-drawn and created by Abbye, and believe me when I say we've had sticks of butter all over the house for weeks now. She collected empty milk cartons, butter boxes, and anything else she could repurpose. She wrapped, hot-glued the ends (because real butter sticks aren't taped!), painted, and hand-lettered every detail turning them into centerpieces alongside the flowers and childhood photos of the bride and groom. Her creativity and attention to detail are truly awe-inspiring.
Miranda has the organizational skills of an air traffic controller. She kept us on task, packed three vehicles with everything we needed, ran countless last-minute errands, and took care of every final detail—even down to the perfect playlist.
And of course, I had the joy of designing the flowers to bring the whole vision together.
Most importantly, I am so grateful to everyone who celebrated alongside us. It meant more than you know. Thank you for showering these two with so much love. Your presence, generosity, and encouragement made the day truly special.
We are incredibly blessed, and if this celebration is any indication, these two are beginning their marriage surrounded by people who love them dearly. What more could a mother ask for?
