And that’s a wrap.
On spring flowers, that is.
From the first tulips at the end of January, to crazy-early warm weather, late frosts, prom season, a few wedding bouquets, two college graduations, Mother’s Day, and the final days of peony season, I feel like I just got tossed out of an E5 tornado.
I’m not entirely sure which way is up, but I do know one thing: if I don’t get the rest of my summer flowers planted, there won’t be any flowers. Turns out they don't grow themselves.
So that’s where I’ll be for the next couple of weeks—digging in the dirt, planting plugs, sowing seeds, and dreaming about armloads of summer blooms.
We do have a handful of dahlias starting to bloom, but my focus right now is getting the rest of my summer flowers planted . If you need a bouquet, please reach out. The Petal Porch may be a little hit-or-miss for the next month or so, but before long it will be overflowing with all the flowers summer has to offer.
Until then, enjoy a few of my favorite spring memories. 🌷
