HOTCO was built on a simple belief: Help people. Solve problems. One water heater at a time.
That was the heart of our founder, Doug Grant, a loving husband, father, son, friend, veteran, and the man who helped build HOTCO into what it is today.
Doug lost his life to acute myeloid leukemia. His battle was heartbreakingly short, but it forever changed our family, our HOTCO family, and the way we understand just how desperately blood cancer patients need people willing to help.
So this year, in honor and memory of our founder, Doug, HOTCO is partnering with NMDP to help grow the blood stem cell donor registry.
And becoming a potential donor starts with something incredibly simple:
A cheek swab.
We have donor registration kits available, and you do not need to attend our annual crawfish boil to participate. We are happy to mail a kit to anyone who would like to join the registry.
Most people who register may never be called.
But one day, you could learn that you are the match someone has been praying for.
You could give a husband more years with his wife.
A father more time with his children.
A child more time with his parents.
A friend more memories with the people who love them.
For us, this is personal.
