Following a brief period of rest, our team continued its early morning operations to address the extensive tree damage inflicted by yesterday’s afternoon storm. This task will continue throughout the week. We extend our deepest sympathies to the numerous individuals who have suffered property loss, found themselves trapped in their homes, and are currently without electricity. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been adversely affected by yesterday’s storms.

Contrary to our expectations, our Tuesday evening took an unexpected turn. We received a call from a local apartment complex informing us that a large Red Oak tree had fallen onto an apartment complex in the Mount Carmel area, causing multiple occupants to be trapped within the complex. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. We commenced the removal process during daylight hours and continued until 11 PM, utilizing additional lighting to ensure the safety of all individuals. The residents expressed their gratitude for our prompt and efficient response.

Contrary to our expectations, our crew faced an unexpected challenge on this Friday evening after a demanding workday in down pouring rain. Upon arriving at our shop, we were informed at 4 PM that a large tree had uprooted in the Forest Fair area, approximately 45 minutes from our location. This uprooted tree had blocked the entire roadway of an apartment complex. Despite the circumstances, our team promptly returned to their trucks and embarked on a mission to remove the tree. They successfully completed the removal operation and returned to the shop just before sunset.

On this Throwback Thursday, we honor the esteemed individuals who have dedicated their lives to our company for decades.

At the forefront, we have Mike Feldman, a valued member of our team who has been employed with us for over 57 years. He continues to contribute part-time, two days a week, and holds the distinction of being the longest-serving employee, surpassing even our founders.

Next to him stands Bruce Taylor, the sole full-time employee currently working with the company. As the Director of Operations, he has been with us for 46 years.

To his right, Craig Taylor, the founder’s son, who worked side-by-side with his father to run the company. He is now retired and dedicated 46 years to our company.

On the far right, we find Don Taylor, the founder of our company, who retired in 2010.

In the front center, we have Curt Taylor, who is no relation, despite sharing the same last name, has also retired after a remarkable 44-year career with the company.

Fortunately, we now have a younger generation to meet all your tree care needs. Lantz Taylor, the grandson of our founders, is actively involved in carrying on the family tradition of providing affordable and quality tree care. Picture taken 1990

The tornado that hit today in Clermont County was mostly concentrated around Pond Run Road, Mott Road and Wilson Dunham Road and surrounding area. It looked like a war zone. Trees were down everywhere and on multiple homes.

The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Sunshine Protection Act, a bipartisan bill to make daylight saving time permanent, with a 308-117 vote. However, the legislation now heads to the Senate, meaning it has not yet become law and clock changes remain in effect.
