Some jobs are just hard harder than others…. The house in Mount Lookout was just a disaster. Hundred year-old Concrete falling apart. Horrible grading. Took a whole whole lot of time to set up and get right. It’s all in the prep work!!! Luckily talked to the neighbor and convinced them it would be a good idea to redo their side as well, which really made everything come together! This job was a royal pain in the ass, but once it was done it really felt like it was time well spent! WOW!!!

Pour 6 of the week and we’re pouring 27 more yards tomorrow! This one turned out great! Saw cutting tomorrow! This one definitely needed to be saw cut because there is barely any fall to the street. Plus customer wanted the clean crisp look. Seems like a lot more customers are opting for the saw cut look. When we saw cut we cut more joints than if we had hand cut so less chance of cracking through the slabs.

1 of 2 we poured today! 16 yards for this monster 60 yard driveway! Still have 2 more pours here. 5” thick with fiberglass rebar. Fiberglass rebar is stronger than steel in flatwork. Higher tinsel strength but lower shear strength. Also has a 30’ strip drain running from end to end. Do it right or stay home!!!!
