👷 UNDER THE HARD HAT | SONNY

Sonny got his start in construction as a kid, working alongside his grandfather in the family concrete business. More than 30 years later, the lessons he learned from his grandfather in the field continue to shape the way he works and leads today.

As a Foreman, Sonny enjoys the variety that comes with the job—from pouring concrete and operating equipment to managing multiple responsibilities across the jobsite. He especially values working with people, sharing his knowledge, and helping teach the next generation of builders.

One project he is especially proud of is the Blue Ash Aquatic Center, where the team overcame a challenging scope and self-performed a significant amount of concrete work. Through it all, Sonny believes in working hard, having fun, and treating his crew like family.

Away from the jobsite, Sonny enjoys spending time with his family and grandkids. We’re proud to have his experience, leadership, and personality on the Universal team.

Universal Contracting was proud to be part of the Paycor Stadium Club VT Project, completing the architectural refresh of the East and West Club concourses surrounding the escalators as part of the project's multi-prime delivery.

This project required careful coordination and attention to detail while working in one of Cincinnati's most recognizable venues. We're proud of our team's craftsmanship and the opportunity to contribute to improvements that will enhance the experience for Cincinnati Bengals fans and visitors for years to come.
