- Works with thought, care, and pride in all tasks
- Climbs in a safe, efficient manner at all times
- Maintains positive relationships with all team members
- Organizes and cares for gear and equipment
- Is always respectful of clients
- Is willing to continually improve climbing and tree care skills

We will…
- Provide benefits including holiday and vacation pay, sick days, a retirement plan with company matching, and health insurance reimbursement
- Provide high quality equipment and gear
- Provide on the clock training and education, including but not limited to climbing and tree care
- Allow for professional growth with quarterly dialogue based reviews by an experienced and caring boss

Pay: $21-$35/hour, based on experience

Anyone else notice it's been a bit dry lately? 🙋‍♀️ Anyone wondering when to water their trees? Lexy has your back. Keep reading for all you need to know!

When should I water my trees? 🌳
You should water tree during drought conditions, and only if the soil is dry. Your soil is dry when you stick your finger in the dirt and it feels dry and dusty. But remember, not all droughts are created equal - cooler temps often require less watering than hotter temps.

How should I water my trees? 💧
No Sprinklers! Sprinklers are good for grass—but not for trees as they spread too little volume over too big of an area. Water in concentric rings or single spots a few feet from the trunk out and through the drip line. Remember "slow and deep". Grass takes up about 4 inches of soil, so you need to water through the grass to benefit the tree.

- What’s your favorite part of working at SimpleThanks?
“Love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life.” I love working with people who have common goals, and at Simplethanks everyone really likes trees and wants to get better at taking care of them. Some days are way more fun than work should be, all while staying safe and getting stuff done.

- Do you have a hidden or unique talent?
My family will roll their eyes… puns… and silly little word games. It’s not hidden, or unique… but it is one of my favorite games.

- What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work?
Family time, riding bikes, cooking food with my friends and family.

- What’s your favorite book or movie?
Of all time, the most influential is Tao: The Watercourse Way by Alan Watts. Anything by Alan Watts is a glorious ride.

- If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Back in time about 2000 years ago to the Little Miami River valley… just to see the trees and the land before we started carving it up

- If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Endless energy and to be multiple places at once.

- What is a book or podcast you’d recommend to others?
The Four Agreements is a wonderful nugget of a book. Short, concise and really impactful.

- What’s a cause or organization that you’re passionate about and why?
I did Americorps NCCC when I was 19. Was transformative for me.

- What’s something your obsessed with currently?
Trying to carve out quiet moments one on one with people I care about. I love checking in with people and knowing how people are doing.
