Got a call for a second opinion after a homeowner was quoted $16,000 for a full system replacement. They were told their unit was low on refrigerant and needed to be replaced.

After showing up and doing a proper inspection, here’s what I found:
✔️ The system did NOT need to be replaced
✔️ It was NOT low on refrigerant
✔️ The issue was simply a dirty coil that hadn’t been maintained

On top of that, the power to the indoor unit had been turned off at the breaker, which kept the system from running properly.

After a thorough cleaning and getting everything back to how it should be, the system is up and running like normal again. 💪

👉 This is why regular proper maintenance and honest service matter. Not every problem means you need a brand new unit.

If you’ve been told you need a replacement, it never hurts to get a second opinion.
