Running The hand roller with Foot Control 😂

Tore out and patched back this area along the concrete wall and drain patch.

Hand rolling a swail around that wall is a lot harder than it looks.

The whole purpose of this patch was to stop structural failure on the concrete wall from undermining base wash out causing it to lean.
We pitched it high off the wall to run water around the far edge down below getting water to stay out of that wall joint.

This is what happens when the wrong company tries to pour a catch basin.

The photo on the right shows OUR work — clean, tight, professional, and finished the way it should be. No sloppy edges. No uneven transitions. No mess left behind.

we believe the job isn’t finished until the site is cleaned up and the customer is left with a finished product we’re proud to put our name on.

And that goes for every job we do — asphalt or concrete. All removed material and debris gets hauled off-site. We don’t leave piles of broken asphalt, concrete, or gravel behind for the customer to deal with.

Just about every week we get a call for sinkholes or catch basin work. And every time, it’s the same story.
That first photo is why. Improper catch basin work — no mortar at the pipe joint, gap left wide open. Every rain, more base material washes into that gap and straight into the storm system. Ignore it long enough and that “small gap” turns into a sinkhole swallowing a chunk of your parking lot.
The second and third photos are ours, done right We use a special non-shrink, fiber-reinforced mortar to create solid, waterproof inlet joints that hold up through Wisconsin’s freeze-thaw cycles instead of cracking and opening back up the first hard winter.
This is one of the first things we look at on every commercial lot we walk. Catch basins and storm inlets are the drainage system holding your entire parking lot together — when a joint fails, you don’t just get a leak, you get slow, invisible erosion happening right under the asphalt. By the time it shows up on the surface as a dip or a crack, the damage underneath is already done. Catch it early. !!

Apron & Sidewalk poured 4 weeks ago
Gave it time to cure out.
Went up Today to Grade, Form and finish pouring out this Driveway extension. Crew will be back in a few weeks to crack fill and sealcoat the rest of the driveway behind the house.

Next up : More School District Sealcoat before the kids come back.
