🦺-we do all sorts of jobs here at the Galatis Constuction . A lot of them are because of water damage due to contractors not installing flashing properly. This job we replaced the right pain of glass because the seal was releasing the gases and started clouding the window. The windows were never flashed properly so we had to rebuild the entire knee wall under the window because it was completely rotted . After the new framing and insulation we installed three-quarter inch plywood with ice and water shield protection and zip tape to seal that area up nice and tight. All the flashing around the windows were sealed down with 1 inch butyl tape making for an excellent water tight seal . then we installed some new siding and painted it. Like always a big thanks to my two sons ty and nic for their awesome work

-this customer owns an older home that was built in the 1800s and over the years has been feeling some play in the floor in the living room and was getting concerned with the structural integrity of the home in that area, they knew they had a birthday party coming up with a lot of people coming and they didn’t feel safe so they reached out and we came up with a plan to strengthen that side of the house up and make it safe
-we supported all the existing tree trunk support beams with new 6 x 6 pressure-treated beams with posting brackets.
-the woman was so happy when she saw how nice the supports came out and how professional they looked and even went upstairs and jumped around on the floor and couldn’t believe how strong it was. It’s really nice to take all that stress away from our customers and give them the work that they deserve and know that it’s going to be done right. Another very happy customer and another job well done, my two sons ty/nic thank you again for your hard work you guys are the best

-this is a small bedroom painting job with a small repair to the ceiling. We also installed all new trim around the windows and the doors and brand new baseboard.
-before we painted the color we applied two coats of primer over the existing blue paint, then we applied two coats of finish paint.
-cut out the damaged sheet rock on the ceiling and patched that and applied two coats of primer on the ceiling and two coats of finish paint after that.
-we try to help our customers out with all the jobs they need done not just the big jobs. This customer was very happy that we were able to squeeze them in before they had family coming up that needed that space.
-once again I got to give Big thanks to my two sons ty / nic for another job well done 👊🏻

Here is some before and after pictures of this 1800s kitchen renovation we just completed
-we installed red pine tongue and groove flooring with four coats of polyurethane
-nickel board ceiling panels with recessed lighting
-we repurposed all of the kitchen cabinets and made our own layout with what we had to work with. Then we had leather granite installed
-nice backsplash on the walls above the countertops and we made our own baseboard under the cabinets out of the same tile. Came out pretty nice
-we use the big cabinets on both sides of the chimney and secured them into the brick with tap con screws 
-install a new window above the countertop so that it matched the existing window and made it look a lot more uniform.
-a lot of work into this job, a lot of work on these old houses but when it’s done right it is very satisfying. I know the customers can’t wait to enjoy a lot of family time in this beautiful kitchen.
Thanks again to my two sons ty/ nic  for there hard work and skills and to my youngest son Aiden for helping us with this project and becoming our newest member on the crew. Couldn’t do it without you guys🦾🦺

-there is only a few parts of the job that are not  enjoyable and pulling plaster is definitely one of them.
I’m very fortunate to have three strong hard-working dedicated sons to take care of this dirty work , I was in the other room applying the polyurethane to the kitchen floor and I could hear them laughing and having a blast in there. When a lot of young kids would be grumpy ,lazy and milking the clock they were in there busting their humps with a great attitude.  I can’t say it enough, working with my sons is one of the best things that’s ever happened in my life💙👷🏻‍♂️😎🦾

We just completed painting our lady of the Lords church in Pittsfield.
They went with a sky blue ceiling and an off-white wall, we polished all the beams with old English wood refinisher. The walls and ceiling were peeling really bad. We scraped all the paint and skim coated the wall with mud before painting. I just want to say thank you once again to my sons. Ty nic aiden you guys are awesome and I couldn’t do it without you guys. Another very happy customer and job well done. Will most likely be doing the flooring in there next and really giving that to finish touches

🦺-this was another Sheet Rock Repair Job that we did due to a roof leak, the customer had servpro remove all the sheet rock and insulation and then we went in and put it all back together.
-on another post I’ve already posted the pictures of installing the sheet rock and insulation and we just finished up painting the entire room and ceiling. Also installed the new baseboard and window trim and painted all that as well.
-the customer is very happy that they have their room back and love how nice the repair came out.
-a lot of the times when contractors do sheet rock repairs you can see where the repair was, my guys know how to feather out that mud beautifully so you can never even tell where it was.
-another job well done. Thanks to my two sons Ty nic for their great work once again.

🦺This is the second major project we have done for this customer. Absolutely amazing people to work for.
-First project was 80 square of siding, 20 windows and doors, a 36 foot long farmers porch and cedar decks.

-this full demo kitchen is going to be the cherry on top.
-repaired the floor so that we could remove the big hump that was making it so that we could not install any flooring unless it was vinyl sheet flooring because there was no way the floor would interlock with the tongue and groove system. Cut down multiple layers of sub flooring and removed the hump and made the floor flush so now the red pine tongue and groove inner lock beautifully. The floor is not level but it is flush and looks amazing
-sistered all new studs to the ceiling so that the nickel board ceiling panels would all be level and square with the wall.
-added the accent wall to match the floor and we’re going to wrap the beam in the same lumber so it will all match each other
-leather granite will be installed
With a beautiful detailed backsplash
-next photos will be coming soon and the final ones in about a month when the rest of the material comes in.
-like always I gotta give thanks to my two amazing hard-working sons for there incredible quality workmanship all the time . Every day these boys impress me and make me so proud.💙

🦺 ice dams are going to cause a lot of leaks this coming week with the warmer temperatures were going to be getting ,As you can see in these photos that the ice dams are making it impossible for the water to drain so it keeps getting backed up under the shingles or under the flashing and getting inside. A lot of the times you don’t even realize that they’re leaking in the house because they’re leaking down the wall or getting soaked up into some insulation. If you ever see icicles hanging from your soffit vents that means the ice dam is backed up under the shingles.
Some people can’t afford to hire people to remove the ice dams and try to do it themselves, you don’t need to remove all of the ice dams, just make some channels so when it warms up they have somewhere to drain. Winter is almost over. If anybody needs any help removing any ice dams please reach out to 603-513-8677. me and my sons will come over and remove the ice dams, and tell you what you can do to help prevent these in the future.

My three hard-working responsible amazing sons👷🏻‍♂️👷🏻‍♂️👷🏻‍♂️🥇💙
All of them have worked with me since they were 14 years old. Right by my side like my right hand man’s. I’m so proud of these guys every day. They take so much pride in their work, they’re extremely responsible and polite and kind I couldn’t have asked for better boys . To have a family run business and work side-by-side my boys every day and teaching them the trade is such a great feeling as a father. I work so hard for these guys every day and my wife and my daughter and it’s so nice to have them by my side to build our family business together. Blessed 💯
