We are thrilled to announce that we have been selected to create a range of spaces for an exclusive group of design firms to create a rooms for The Showhouse at THE MART 2026. In partnership with , the Showhouse will be located on THE MART’s first floor, and will run from May 21, 2026 through September. With the spectacular Art Deco architecture of the building as inspiration, the rooms will evoke an ultra-luxury penthouse apartment. Mark your calendars for the start of the design event of the year!

Indoor-Outdoor / The addition on this historic city home makes room for this amazing kitchen. Its walls slide open for access to the deck, fresh air and light. Where the rest of the home is a more faithful renovation/restoration this space brings a new type of space that wouldn’t have been possible in the late 1800s but has the heft and quality of materials to feel at home in that context.

Party Garage / This apartment City guest house has the coolest barn in town. A frosted glass garage door lets light in while heated floors keep the space cozy. The client uses the multipurpose space as ski storage, a mudroom, game room, and a lab for brewing hard ciders. Who says a garage can’t be functional and cool?

Stair + Entry / A casual entry brings you by a mudroom along a wall of windows and this contemporary staircase. The stair switches back in front of more windows and its open risers and slatted sides let long evening shadows stretch through the house.

Restored / The details on the front facade of this Lincoln Park home had been worn away over its long life. The facade was fully restored including new carved limestone keystones, custom windows , and a lot of maintenance. The effort was well worth in it preserving this rare Chicago facade and the proposer was awarded one of the City of Chicago’s Preservation awards.
