A topping off is one of those moments that gives you a chance to pause and look at what a team has built together.
Yesterday, Bowa Construction | Post L Group Construction | EJ Smith Construction celebrated a major milestone at the Dallas ISD Nolan Estes project, bringing together more than 120 people from across the project team, trade partners, Dallas leadership, and the community.
We were proud to be joined by:
• Edward Turner Independent School District Trustee, District 9
• Brent Alfred, AIA, CCM, Chief Construction and Operations, Dallas Independent School District
• Maxie Johnson, Dallas City Council Member, District 4
• Jesse Moreno Pro Tem & Dallas City Council Member, District 2
• Kimberly Bizor Tolbert, City Manager, City of Dallas
We also recognized Hector Flores of IDEA | Dallas ISD and Diane Ragsdale of CityLab High School as honorees, with Downtown Dallas, Inc. continuing to be a strong advocate for the project and the broader vision for the area.
And while milestones like this are often marked by the people at the podium, they are made possible by the people doing the work every day. Paul Jennings, General Laborer with Post L Group, represented the skilled tradespeople helping bring Nolan Estes Plaza from plans on paper to reality.
Thank you to Dallas Independent School District, our joint venture partners, trade partners, community advocates, and everyone who came out to celebrate this milestone with us.
There’s still work to do, but seeing the structure rise is a reminder of what happens when a lot of people bring their part to the same vision.
