Do you have a 3D printer? Do you need a lamp? Well, you are in luck, friend.

Swing by www.volume.studio and check out the new Shop section where we'll be introducing downloadable and 3D printable files for some of our home goods designs.

The first in the series is the Shady Lamp, a small lamp with a large presence that's perfect for a desktop or any living area. Print it in the colors of your choice and enjoy the convenience and efficiency of requiring NO support material to print and no fasteners to assemble. All of the parts are threaded to screw together with ease.

Links to the recommended cord set and low-wattage LED bulb are in the product description.

Chicago area Design People: does anyone need an Inventables Carvey CNC machine? I have one I need to get out of my shop. Includes box of bits & 3d printed clamps, tool set, and brand new spoil board, still in bubble wrap.

Would be happy to donate to school or nonprofit. Will consider trade for tools or 3 Floyd's Zombie Dust. Also cash, don't worry about offending me. I just want to find it a home where it will be used, not looking to give it to someone who wants to flip it for profit.

It works fine, but Carvey no longer brings me Joy.

You'd need to pick up from Glenview, IL. I will help load it, Carvey is small but damn heavy.

I will also throw in some free materials sized for the bed

We recently upgraded to the Rhino 7 release and are loving the new tools. This creature was mostly modeled using the all-new SubD tools, plus a few old-school NURBS blends. The image was done 100% in Rhino using their new Cycles render engine, a massive improvement from previous releases.

Our good friends at have been knocking them out of the park lately!

We worked closely with their product development team to create the Industrial Design and final CAD model for the new DJ Dance & Spin ride-on toy. This product is super cool and totally unique!

Here is a rendering of the CAD model we created for the Radio Flyer My First Model Y that I posted about a few weeks ago - what a fun project!

After the initial concept sketch phase, we worked with the actual Model Y 3D CAD data provided by Tesla, massaging and re-proportioning it to hit the critical functional & ergonomic dimensions. We then rebuilt sections of the vehicle for manufacturability and created several new parts to enhance the design and functionality. Working closely with the team at Radio Flyer, we continued to refine the CAD model throughout the product development process and into production.

The result is as beautiful and high quality a product as you would expect from these two esteemed brands. We feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work on it and hope for more collaborations like this in the future!
