"I love to entertain, but I also love a chill weekend, and the best evenings in Sagaponack manage to be both. For me, that means one long table on the lawn with little colored glass vases I’ve picked up from the flower district over the years, filled with ferns from the woods, tons of votives, and plates from Il Buco Vita in Amagansett.

For this dinner, we gathered the family and friends who couldn’t make it to my son’s wedding in Lisbon and turned the evening into a friendly cooking competition. Guests were paired up, there were awards for the top tastes, and since there were to be no losers, the runners-up went home with Keith McNally’s I Regret Almost Everything.

Then, as always, there was the after-dinner walk my father insisted on, before dessert and charades."

THE ARTISANS SERIES

Even with the many advantages of technology, the human touch is irreplaceable. John Harvey and his team at Chameleon Fine Lighting know how to engineer exactly how a fixture will be suspended, what fasteners would be ideal, and most importantly, how to create the poetry and poignancy of light. Their full story is in our book, 𝘖𝘯 𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺 Rizzoli Books.

We are profoundly grateful to Maison Gerard for hosting our book launch in celebration of our first monograph, 𝘖𝘯 𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺, published by Rizzoli and arriving on shelves tomorrow, September 15. We hope you can join us!

The story of this foundry, the process and the projects we've made together is one we love to share.
