Design Talk with Kelly, Senior Interior Designer at CI Design + Build.

Kelly played a major role in shaping Collector’s Home from the earliest design concepts through the final layers of furnishing and customization.

The dining room began to take shape organically once we realized we wanted this space to command attention for entirely different reasons, almost as a counterpoint to the rest of the home’s aesthetic.

From there, every detail became intentional.

We collaborated closely with Porter Teleo to customize each hand-painted wallcovering panel around the architecture itself, carefully mapping transitions, niches, and ceiling lines before installation.

It’s the kind of thoughtful design decision that may go unnoticed at first glance, yet completely shapes how a home is experienced.

Lake Shore Drive and Lake Michigan unfold just beyond the windows, while layered neutrals keep the room feeling calm, elevated, and intentionally understated. A geometric Arte wallcovering adds subtle texture behind the Rove Concepts bed, grounded by a Surya rug and finished with a sculptural Visual Comfort & Co. fixture overhead.

Every furnishing was selected as part of one fully connected vision.
